I'm brand new to the site and am looking for ANY AND ALL help in trying to upgrade my SLT with center console and 8.4 radio.........ANYONE please feel free to weigh in......THANKS

it can all be done, you just have to get all the parts. complete center consoles can be found on ebay - usually in the $600 range +/-

Unless you can find someone to do a trade with you who wants a jump seat in place of their center console....which I would do if your jump seat were black leather!

My friend has a console and I have the center seat. I much prefer the middle seat with the storage underneath.

I love consoles. For some reason I like the car like feel it gives me. Seems like more storage space too.

Check out Seats and Such on Facebook. It’s a guy near Cincinnati, Oh that parts out 4th gen ram interiors. He normally had a console or two laying around for about $250-$400.

I wish my truck would have had the console as an option. Unfortunately it's not an option with the floor transfer case lever #sadface

If I had the option on my new truck I would have stuck with the jump seat. My laptop fits in the under seat console and the upper console is bigger, which is the one I use. Also comes in handy when going out for short trips with bigger groups. Less designated drivers required.

Add me to that, its one of the tings about my truck I'm not fond of - I preferred the roomier feel of the jump seat vs the cockpit feel of the console.

Hey Greg, my 2016 lease is comming up and I am shopping 2500's many I like have the console and I want the jump seat. Iam located in Sparta NJ, if you would like we can meet up and swap my console for your jump seat. We would need to exchange radio bezels (8.4) and a few other components. I plan on buying one soon. Let me know if you are interested and I will keep you posted on when I am ready to swap!

Hey Greg and Jerzey111, I will get in touch with either of you once I land my ram over the next month or 2. Hopefully not that long!! LOL!! If I end up with one with a console I will definitely swap!!!

Figured I would point out the differences between the two bezels around the radio. Top pick is console out of 2500, shifter is on column but the cutout for the bezel will match cut out for a dial shifter. The bottom pick is 1500 jump seat version, the radio bezel at the bottom of the blue crcle is more curved compared to the console radio bezel, the bottom two bezels are need for the switch and of course so is the jump seat and the console itself. I believe a piece or two of duct work is necessary for the swaps too.

Just completed my swap from jump seat to center console. Piece of cake install. The center of the radio bezel (black part around the screen and center buttons) is screwed on. So if you find one with a smaller screen or ones that don't have the screen off/back button, don't worry. You can can swap it out with the one you have.

Swapping out the floor shifter for the column shifter seems to be the hardest part.

I’m wanting to replace my middle seat with the center console in my 2016 1500 Express. Has anyone done this that has a parts list of the pieces I’ll need? Does anyone know if the center console from an extended cab will fit a regular cab? I know it has the duct work for the air conditioning for the rear but I just wouldn’t hook any of that up. All I care about is will the bolt holes line up with mine.

Ive done it but I put a 2015 console in my 06

it mill mount right up just make sure to get the bracket that attaches the 1 hole on either side by bottom. it will bolt up to the trans tunnel.
