How bad was the rubbing with stock fenders? Asking because I would like to run a similar setup.

37's only hit the front fenders on big dips that would compress the front heavily. Hit the fender lip pretty hard a few times which constituted fiberglass. If I slow down 5-10 mph, wouldn't hit at all.

The only trimming I did was grinding a little bit of the pinch seam down at the rear of the fender well/firewall. Only ground down to the spot welds, so everything is still tight and instact.

I bought the Superchips tuner years ago, the first time I lifted her, primarily for re-gear and bigger tires. Just to see what would happen, I installed the 91 performance tune... and haven't looked back! After 3 years, it's still going strong and helped performance quite a bit considering its E.O. (EPA and CARB) approval. I'm sure other tuners are better and report better gains, but there wasn't much out there for CA approved tuners. Most notable increase in performance is acceleration, from a stop or at cruising speed. At cruising speeds, floor it, shifts down 2 gears and takes off. Pulls harder in higher rpms when it gets on the cam (stock) too, like hitting the powerband on 2-stroke. Simply put, wouldn't run my truck without it, now that I know what it feels like.

Only downside is premium gas prices, but it's worth the increase in performance for me.

Engine is stock except for K&N panel filter and Billet Technology catch-can.

Im looking to level my 2016 single cab. i spoke to a customs shop here in my home town and he said without a bigger lift (which i dont have the money for right now) i cant go bigger than 33s . is that the case?
if so:
will i be shopping for 285/70r17 or 33x12.5r17 ?

my stock tire size is 265/70r17

No with a level you can fit 35’s you just need wheel spacers stock 20 tire sizes are 33

I think I may have seen your Ram around. Then again, it's probably just the "Tampa, Florida" thing. Lol.

Anyway, it depends on your offset and your truck. Are you 4x4? If so, it's harder to fit bigger wheels than a 2wd, ironically enough. I'd say the dude isn't lying, but, with some questioning and work, maybe spacers or something, I bet you could fit a bigger tire than he thinks. I'm going with a ~34" tire that's 11"-12" wide total.

Yeah, but he's got a 4th gen. And if he's 4x4, I've read that it's more difficult...

But you actually have a lifted truck, and I'm sure others that do [and have 4th gens] will chime in, so I'll leave it to you guys.

you mightve seen me i usually have a 3x5 american flag flying from the back corner of the bed (yea im one of those guys haha)
its a tradesman 2wd and im planning on keeping the stock 17 inch wheels. i trust the guy who gave me the info he seems like a straight shooter and generally a really nice dude but it seemed odd to me because my 04 f150 fit 34s with a leveling kit on stock 17s and the wheel wells werent as big (or didnt seem to be) as big as my ram. but then again im not very mechanically inclined so i dont know half as much as others
but what i want to do is level the front, put the biggest tires i can while keeping my stock 17s. if that means putting in wheel spacers in thats cool too because i like the look of that as well.
any help for the new guy would be greatly appreciated!

A leveled 2wd with wheel spacers {make sure they're bolt on hub centric ones} should definitely fit 35's, I'd assume. But you know what would be better than stock 17's? Get some 18's and the general grabber red letter tires and go full pre-runner/pro-2 truck. Would be litt.

Hmm, haven't seen one with a big flag on it. You ever been to the 7-11 in Palm River/Clair-Mel?

Ahh, okay, then. Good luck, dude. Get over in the 4th gen "lifted" forum and post up your question there. Be sure to include that it's a 2wd and you're willing to put wheel spacers on and they'll set you right, man.

You can easily put 34 with no problem with a level that’s what I had before I put my lift kit on that’s why I’m saying you can for sure put 35’s. 34 or 35 x11 don’t go 12.5 with your stock wheels because the tires stock rim is the thin and will cause your new tires to not cut even that happened to me which is why I needed to get new rims
