Dont let the dealer keep your power wagon wheels and tires! Bring them home and sell them here

I’ll throw a bid in on them.
I damn sure wouldn’t pay for something I don’t have

Yeah, that was their deal breaker... They wouldn't take my truck for trade in if it didn't have wheels and tires and I didn't keep my stock wheels and tires. So I either leave my Salta HDs and Toyo M/T's on the truck or they put the PW wheels and tires on the truck. I'd rather have my Salta HDs and Toyo M/T's.

We battled back and forth about it for close an hour. They gave me everything else I asked for except the wheels and tires or a credit on them.

They actually gave me the number of miles on the truck off the total price. Plus my old truck payment rolled over since they last had the numbers. The whole deal actually came out to be way less than what it was before when all was said and done.

Wait what was wrong with the one on the right?
Nothing was wrong with it. Just after much consideration and evaluation with regards to money output over time with regards to performance vs upgrading and a slightly higher payment for immediate performance it made more sense to trade up to the PW while I had a good chunk of positive equity in my old truck vs trading in laterals having negative toll over to thr new loan.

And here it is after the Salta's were added and super low hanging side steps were deleted.

Now to start with mods.

The list:

Purple Cranium front/back done in bright red with black emblems

ARB compressor

Morimoto LED fogs (their black horizontal kit)

Got a buddy that builds custom off road rigs for Baja and rock crawling so gonna hit him up to do a custom set of sliders and maybe some extra under body protection.

Rock lights

Probably add some lights under the body that face to the rear for some extra light while wheeling at night. Any have recommendations there?

AEV Switch Pod

AEV Procal (when it's released for 2018)

And as of now that's it. a8cc6403566cab003f6da7265c202066.jpg

Congratulations! Truck looks great!

OPT7 is having a pretty good sale right now, for Father's day, on some of the lights you're talking about. You might check them out. I was just on their site yesterday.

Speaking of ARB air compressors, is anyone using one? The reviews are all over the place. Some say they broke the second or third time they used them. Good lookin wagon. Keep posting the pics cause I always forget to take them and post them.

BoldAdventure on the forum has been using one in his PW build for a little while now. Multiple uses in MOAB from what I've seen on his thread and Instagram and it's worked fine so far. He's actually got 2 built on a platform he removes from the RAM box when in use.

Reviews I've seen mainly were overheating issues from being in an enclosed area like the RAM box without opening it or the storage bins in the 2500 floors. But I've mainly searched for RAM compressor related mounting options to so that's skewed the results a little bit. Some ppl are using VAIR and a couple other brands as well.

I've seen the ARB mounted under the front driver fender also. I think under the bed just behind the cab on passenger side is a better location as there is free flowing air. Only concern at that point is water and mud. But the couple I've seen mounted there never had any issues with either of those.

First: Nice looking truck.

Second: I think BoldAdventure is running two VIAIR compressors. I thought about getting an ARB compressor, but in the end I couldn't justify the cost.

You are correct, Sir. My apologies. I just double checked and it is 2 VAIR compressors. He's got so much ARB stuff listed in the same area I must have completely missed it.

Well, looks like first mod might be happening sooner than expected...

I previously said the dealership before the one I bought it from removed the resonator on the exhaust. It's got a decently mean sound, but holy **** is the drone before it shifts into gear horrendous when cruising. I tried to capture it in some other videos but wasn't able to.

My other 2500 had a Flowermaster (not sure the series) and the drone on that was perfectly fine. This starts to give me a headache.
