Nice to know there is an option. Good for when you are at home in the driveway.

Didn't work on my 2018 1500 Big Horn. I tried the unbuckle 3 times method (tried many time to make sure I was doing it right) and I bought the seat belt extenders. Neither method worked. I would like to be able to listen to the radio while cleaning and detailing my interior but can't because of the "ding, ding, ding".

Worked on my 2017 Express and my wife’s 2016 Jeep Cherokee.

Huh. I didn't think driving buckled up was that big of an issue for people.

Maybe it's just a cultural thing.
I always buckle up. But when I’m driving around the farme driving through the pastures checking stuff I dont. . And the dingin is very annoying.

wouldn't just finding a used male latch work..without the belt. Just clip it in and go? In my X5 the passenger seat is annoying as heck if I have my dog, briefcase etc. setting in it while driving...it thinks there is a passenger in the seat and the chime went off all the time. I just junk yarded an insert and put it in there...no more chime as it assumes my briefcase is all buckled in now :)

What’s easier than walking to truck. Putting key in ignition and disabling it. Cost ZERO. Hell its built in feature to disable. It’s not magic

I am puzzled why this isn't working for me. I have tried it about 20 times. I even wrote down the directions to follow to make sure I was doing it right. No luck so I had my wife read them to me as I did it so she could spot any mistake I was making. Still no luck. I read a thread where a guy did it much slower (than 3x in 10 seconds). I will try that today.

I'll have to give this a shot on my 2017 SLT...

Mind, I always wear a seatbelt except for one situation. Coming home, I stop at my mailbox by the road, check the mail, get back in the truck... and then drive 500' to my house. No sense putting a seatbelt on just to get down 500' of gravel driveway, when my max speed is maybe 10-15 mph.

I went through the process once again to no avail. When I complete the process I get the "ding" indicating success when I shut off the key but upon startup I still get the 5 dings (my main concern) and I can't back up with my door open unless the belt is buckled. The reason I don't like the dings on startup is because I prefer to start immediately upon entrance so the engine can circulate some oil before I put it in gear. I usually take a minute or more to "get situated" since I often bring things to place in the interior. Nothing serious, just and annoyance.

No luck on that either. It's especially puzzling because others on successful on 2018s. I guess I'll ask the dealer if they'll do it the next time I'm in there.
