It's happened exactly 3 times since I've had this truck. Exiting my driveway and the 'auto lock' kicked in and locked the doors. My wife had her arm on the door(window down) and when it locked she screamed like something terrible happened. I tend to get upset when startled so there's that...I gave her the 'how in the Hell did you manage to get hurt by that?!' look. Fast forward a week or so and it happened again to her. I could not understand what she was ******** about:Violin:. So guess what happened to me the other day? Same scenario except this time it was my enormous and fantastically shredded tricep that fell victim to the door lock plunger. This thing was out for blood but I wouldn't give it up...Got a bruise, no joke. I'll never admit how much it hurt and played it off like a true man.

Literally just happened to me for the first time. Hurt like a mother! It felt like I was getting stung by a wasp.

Its one thing Ive noticed about my truck: the power locks (doors and tailgate) all seem pretty heavy duty at least from the noise they make.

I just laughed so hard reading this. Glad it hasn't happened to me yet.

Next time I get in the truck, it will happen to me now.

edit: Just realized this is for the 19. Maybe mine wont bite so hard?

My wife’s 12 Charger used to do that to me every ****** time I got in it. I hated that damn car.
I know your pain felt it many many times.

My 2014 Ram does it to my wife. I try to remember to lock them myself before she gets comfortable and rests her arm there.

I'm just waiting for some moron to sue FCA over it. "Emotional distress from my arm injury" or some other B.S.

Vehicles that bite their owners. Sorry but the descriptions and visual you get is funny. But I have noticed that all my Ram vehicles have heavy duty fast locks.

Can’t you just disable the auto lock feature

You can but the feature is nice, no worries when stopped if someone tries something. When this does happen to the wife I just laugh inside and say to myself “when will you learn since it happens every time “

I think I might just remove the lock rod from the doors when I replace the speakers and put a plug in it to fill the hole.
No more bites/pinches.

Happened to my wife the first few times she rode in my '14. She learned not to put her arm that far back real quick!

My son and I commented on the force of the door locks yesterday. He said it sounds like a bolt action rifle haha.

I just got a 2019 Limited, and on my wife's first ride it did it to her. Left a bruise.

If the knobs are replaceable just put straight caps on them. My 17 has straight ones, no button head on top.

I smell a class-action....Let's all get on board and just settle for some seat time in a Demon and a comp. lunch. :)
