I recently purchased an 85 rc for $1500 it has the prospector 3 package and the towing package, it also bas a 360ci 5.9l v8. But it has alot of cosmetic and electrical problems but it runs great when the battery isnt dead. Hopong to make it a daily driver soon.9fb6e6174649e571fd8e338a1c1a26c0.jpg1db3ba7fc5710ddd58f5ad3fd6dcdc2c.jpg4b6b666a6d0bc5a2c59dd75138948e00.jpg187b04a92edf80a842841f01ac46589a.jpgec5371879440dd63cca9e131f6f0f624.jpg9219e31f26fd2924e13bdff458283c78.jpgfa1dc6255d90938084cc095db08c9a39.jpg07ba810f002a42aed87781fa6f7c0ffe.jpg

Looks like a great project!

It's pretty clean inside for a 1985 era truck.

OMG that is clean and in very good condition for being 33 years old. Factory wheels with a decent interior. However,,,,your RAM Horn is missing from the hood. Back then, they were stolen a lot. People would put them on chains and wear them around their neck. Saw one on ebay several months ago.
Would like to help you with your build sheet.
* Strip all the funky 1980 bright work off
* Paint it black or royal blue.
* Install 5.7 or 6.4 Hemi
* 45 or 55 RFE trans
* Upgrade the suspension with Helwig suspension parts front and back. Must get a heaver sway bar front and back. Bilstein shocks.
* Silver or gray hearing bone interior.
* Center console
* Kill the luggage rack
I am thinking three part time jobs this summer and you will be the killer ride at school. LOL
The pics just made me want mine back even more.

You're essentially saying turn it into a modern ram. That defeats the purpose of purchasing this gem.

If you need any advice on the rc, I have been tuning and building mopars. Feel free to contact me. If your going for a daily driver though, I probably would pass on the supercharger and spend the money on a camshaft and a short block rebuild. Is that a factory 4 barrel motor? If not then that would be an excellent power adder. Scraping the lean burn would be the first I would ditch.
