Hi,

Has anyone had this issue or know of possible reset options for the 2019 12” screen?

I Got in the truck this morning the the screen fully boots and looks like it works but you can’t touch anything on the screen, doesn’t respond. You change the volume or climate from the buttons it shows up as expected. I tried restarting the truck twice and no luck.

I’ve had the screen not boot up before but as soon as I restarted the truck it was fine.

Thanks,

Dallas

This has popped up here before and I thought I saw someone mention there is a flash for it. I might be wrong though. Check out the Problems and Fixes thread.

This happened once on my Challenger with 9" screen. I disconnected the negative to the battery for about 10 minutes, reconnected, solved my problem. That was last winter and it hasn't blacked out again. It wouldn't hurt to try it. If it works, you may just have to redo your settings.

Yes. I've had this happen a couple of times. The only way I could get it to respond was to shut the truck off and then restart it to make the radio reboot. It seems to be a software glitch. Good luck.

Hello Jim Rather & dreinert

We apologize that you are having this concern with your infotainment systems. Please try checking your software level by going to the link below. There was an FOTA update back in August that addressed the screen locking up or turn black.

If your software is up to date please schedule an appointment with your dealer to have your vehicle diagnosed. If there is anything us we can help with please let us know.

I was able to disconnect the battery cable and it came back and has been fine since yesterday.

This instance was different than just the black/blank screen which I've also had happen a few times but always comes back after restarting the truck.

I did follow the link and entered my VIN, pop up said I have the latest version.

Thanks for the help and responses!
