Quick write to help with this. However I bear no responsibility for any changes that you might not like. Only ones you do.

Start off with key in run.
Open app
Select dodge/ram button, Ram 1500 or 2500 From drop down, Body Computer, then body computer MY2013-2017
Connect then click on the icon at the bottom with the hood open
From the drop menu select "Program tire size"

Right above start on this page is a text box that allows you to input the tire circumference in mm or you can use the drop menu to select a preprogrammed size. (Best way to get your mm number is to measure mounted height and then do your conversion, always round up or down to a whole number. This might take a couple adjustments from that to get perfect at 60.)

Press start and it should take a couple seconds to complete.
Once done back out to main page.

Cycle the key, at this point you can get all kinds of lights on the dash, so then you need to do the abs module.

Now select dodge/ram button, Ram 1500 or 2500 From drop down, ABS, then ABS Ate/Continental

Connect then click on the icon at the bottom with the hood open
From the drop down select ABS iniatiliazation

Read the instructions

Go back to the drop down and select static ECU initialization
Press start and wait to complete
Click on the check engine icon and clear faults
Then cycle key
Click back on the car icon
Select clearing Rolls Information from drop down, then start
After complete clear faults in the Body control module and the engine.
Cycle key
Once complete start your ram and take it for a spin, and check speed vs a gps. If your still off you can redo the process and adjust as needed.

This was performed on a 2018 Ram 2500 with version 2.1.4.0 on a android with OBDlink MX and a bypass cable

If anybody has noticed any differences on their vehicles or has any input to edit this let me know.

I didn't even know there was such an app.

What do you use to connect to OBD2?

JB1 do you have said alfaobd?

I Love my 18 Ram 2500HD 4x4 CC
Blue Streak Pearl off-road

I haven’t tried it yet, but I bought everything needed and just got it all delivered yesterday. I was on the fence about all this but these guys have done all the research and testing of what works so I’m confident in following their lead. I’m going to start off with a few simple upgrades that they have all done and proven to work, then go from there.

I wanted a Bluetooth code reader so I needed to buy the OBDmx anyway. The Alphaobd APP is $49 so really that’s the only additional cost.

Was this done on a stock Ram or a deleted Ram?

Stock, should not affect a deleted Ram as changes are to the bcm. But you never know, you could always return to stock then change the tire size, then reload your tunes.

Has anyone else had issues with alfaobd when trying to change tire size? Mine will allow you to select a new size or enter the circumference but when you hit next it doesn’t do anything, it never says complete or anything. I’ve made other changes no problem but the tire change won’t work. Any ideas?

Are you using the Android or Windows version. Android should be auto updating but the Windows version needs to be manually updated. The tire change settings were recently fixed in the newest release. If using Android, I had a similar problem but after disconnecting, completely closing the program out and restarting it worked.

I’m using android with the newest version. I’ve tried multiple times but I’ll give it another try.

If it doesn’t work this time I would suggest emailing Alfa your bug log for him to investigate. Response during weekdays varies but usually within 48 hours.

Ok cool. I only ask because I saw in your instructions something about doing an ECU initialization. Didn’t know if it reset ecu or something..

Figure it out... I put a decimal in the size. Apparently you need to round up or down to next whole number. Worked perfectly after that. Thanks for the help.

Did you have any errors to clear?

That's part of the abs module. The only thing done to the ECM is clearing faults.
