If this is a repeat, please direct me to the correct thread, or send this to its rightful place, but i wanted to get all the other Owners of the 3.0L into a thread and see what your general consensus is with performance and issues of this engine, how ownership has gone for you, if you have any gripes etc.

I joined EcoDieselRam.com yesterday and holy ****, that forum is nothing but doom and gloom :(. you all here are more of a family in my eyes, mainly because i've been a member for so long, so i value and trust your input more than the other place.

is anyone else a member of that forum?

Yeah, a lot of doom and gloom for sure. You just have to kind of ignore those threads if possible. Some good information out there.

Don't have, but there are a few on here that have nothing but good things to say about their Eco.

so far, the biggest tip ive noticed thats an easy fix, is make sure i run 5W40 engine oil. but theres alot of people on the other forum talking about blown engines and such, which im trying to ignore, since they didnt give much insight as to what they do daily etc, but makes me a tiny bit concerned.

My 2015 eco diesel fuel mileage has went from mid 20s consistently to high to mid teens. I’m thinking the DPF is plugging. Is there any way to make it run the regeneration cycle. That cycle hasn’t happened in at least a year and a half. 42000 miles very little ideling mostly highway driving.

I read somewhere if you run the RPMS in the 2500-3000 range for a good 20-30 minute drive, it helps get everything hotter and will burn it off. You can do that with the gear limiter

Ya I read that also need to load it up with something and run the rpms up high with a fuel additive the one they recommend I haven’t found yet!
Eagle secret diesel fuel additive or something like that can’t find my note.

I’ve had my fuel mileage drop significantly,I’m lucky to get 20 on the freeway on the flat and level it used to get 25 26 consistently on the same stretch of road. I took it to the. DEaler they set it up to regenerate the DPF which was at 54 % The pickup refuses to go into regeneration mode. I hooked up my golf art and the trailer that’s just big enough to hold it and I’m in the mid teens 15. Sounds to me like it needs to be replaced. May be a fight to get that done with Dodge
