Interested in your headlight project first off. Just curious are you concerned with snow or ice buildup on them since leds don't throw much heat? I know my halogens load up pretty good and it's annoying for me and I get no where near as much consistent snow as You? More light is definitely a huge plus tho. Especially on back roads with animals.

I am not worried about heat. The Mini H1s will toss plenty of heat for the headlights. I retrofitted a set on an F-150 and went with D2S, and they always, minimally, melted the show or ice directly in the beam pattern. I only went with the LED hi-beam thing because I saw several posts that advised it was a perfect fit, and I did not want to leave it blank nor did I really want to mix HID / Halogen hi-beam. For an extra $80 and the splitters, seemed like a non-issue to me considering all the work going into them.
Funny enough, my local news just did a report on headlights being unsafe in most modern cars, halogens were called out as less than adequate for night driving.

I got the set of headlights in and as soon as TRS processes the several thousand orders and ships mine lol, I will get started.

MAIL CALL!

Got a new set of quad headlamps in to open up and create the Frankenstein headlight. Got to clean the lenses and work on ripping them apart.
Ordered some Morimoto permaseal dissolver to aid in the process, will give it a go and write a review if it makes it easier.

I also got word that the free black Friday etching is being done tomorrow and will ship shortly after that for the HID kit. Very excited to have everything on the way and get this started.

Photos!!

Took some time yesterday to read the Morimoto permaseal dissolver and am unsure if I even want to look at it. The warning on the label is enough to chuck Norris a little concerned. Pretty much you need a hazmat suit to use it, in room with at least 60% humidity so you don't risk a spark. I will try to post a photo later this afternoon.

OEM lights, I got a steller deal on them, cheaper then the replicas.

I have done permaseal lights before when I retrofitted a set of F-150 headlamps. It was a few hours each headlamp to get everything removed which is why I picked up the permaseal dissolver

K just checking. You might be surprised how easy permaseal sometimes comes loose.. other times... it’s a pain in the d*ck and takes several heat cycles.

Exactly. Probably jumped my light bill by $15-20 that night alone. lol.
I was able to get some strips undone, other times it was just bits and shavings.

Just got word my projectors have shipped. Should arrive Wednesday. Going to try and open up my lenses tomorrow. Temperatures are in the mid to low 10s, so it could be a brutal install....I really do not want to wait though. No heated garage for me, :(

Was able to crack open the headlights yesterday morning. Went pretty smooth, minimal marring of the lens and housing. Was able to peel the permaseal off in large chunks, almost prefer doing permaseal in this regard as clean up is super easy.

PArts arrive Wednesday and weather permitting, I will attempt to get these installed. No garage, so this may be tough. Ha.

Also, decided to order the rear Icon lift springs afterall, so those hopefully will arrive before my appointment to get the coilovers. I figured I might as well, as the labor would not be much more, and better to get it all done at once.

Amen to that! I need an alignment, but I’m waiting till I can get my Eibach Pro Springs on the bilsteins before paying anyone to line it up.

My shop sends it to the alignment rack afterwards. I will be using the Thuren recommended toe and caster settings. Should improve the ride and handling.

Easy baking the bezels. Need the HD forumla, as the regular did not cut it. Going to *** them to a shop to get painted as -2 degrees does do well with paint. :33:

Got the Icon Springs in today, box was pretty heavy. I guess I never really thought about how heavy a spring would be....only a week left, cant wait.

I started to sort out the wiring and get the headlights mocked up to install. Hoping to borrow someone's garage for a few hours to get the wiring in and rotation right. Silly Mopar spec harness is going to be a pain to get wired up right while keeping the stock look.

Got the wiring all set and sanded down the bezels a little. I decided to keep the factory reflectors chrome as an accent piece. I thought it would have been too dark otherwise. Weather warmed up to the lower 50s so I attempted to paint the bezels. We will see how that goes.

Headlights all wired up.

After some unexpected personal issues, I have had to postpone lifting the pick up for awhile.

Good news though, I was able to finish the retrofit and it turned out quite well. Photos to come this afternoon.

Grill and headlights off, ended up breaking the lower left tab on the grill. :(

Wiring things up. Was about 5 hours getting everything undone, wired up, trouble shooted as I misconnected a few along the way and getting everything rotationaly level.

The final product, dont mind the condensation, its just because it was kind of warm when I installed it and it was about 4 degrees outside. lol.

Body shot, have some spacers coming in the next few weeks to poke those wheels out a bit more. Should look pretty darn mean if you ask me.
