Dodge Ram doesn't bother me but a Fiat ram are fighting words.

Oh, you gottdamn right bruddah, you know it. lol. That just irritates the ever-lovin’ doodoo outta me. lol. I told one guy once, that said that and I was like, you know that Fiat owns Ferrari too, don’t you? Are Ferrari’s Fiats too? No. I said maybe a Ram, Chrysler, Dodge or Jeep owner might not try to put a pop knot on your head big enough for a calf to suck on but some Ferrari owner might wax your ass you tell him his car is a Fiat!!...[emoji1787][emoji1787][emoji1787]

i have wanted a Dodge pickup since i first saw an abandoned WM300 in a dump as a kid. a pickup wasn't practical for my life, so even though i wanted one, i was just never able to get one.
45 years later, i could do it and got my first pickup truck...a 2019 Bighorn 1500.
and by god, I'm ignoring a marketing ploy and calling it what it is.. a DODGE.
i voted NO
;)

I put a pewter Ram's skull keychain on my FOB so I can tell which one it is when sitting with other FOBs.

Heck I still call mine a Dodge much of the time.
And if someone wants to call it Fiat, even that doesn't bother me,
I just look at them and say "what" hum that's interesting they got their fingers in a lot don't they.

My Gen 4 was a Dodge when I bought it.
Still says Dodge in the console, and on my title.

So FCA can RAM that where the Sun don't shine.

My 4 gen is a RAM, not a Dodge.

Maybe because I just came over to the brand but I've always thought of them as Dodge Rams. Also on alot of aftermarket part sites I have to look for Dodge vs Ram. Doesnt bother me obviously.

I bought a Mopar rubber bed mat for my '16 Ram 2 years ago. Stamped in raised letters across the width of the mat is 'DODGE'.
The Ram should have remained under Dodge. The Silverado and Ford trucks are not separate brands.

Awesome to hear all the perspectives.

Dunno if anyone heard at Q3 FCA investors meeting, they have investors putting pressure on them to rename FCA "Jeep RAM Automobiles"

i was actually surprised this year when i was looking to buy a truck and realized they spun RAM off out of Dodge into its own brand.
just dont understand why you would remove the 80 year legacy of Dodge heavy duty 4x4 pickups from the brand.

I don’t either, fully. It sounds like it was so that the Dodge brand and the Ram brand could be focused on individually.

Sounds like it was Fiat that did it, tho.

You're bang on, FCA has a total different approach when it comes to branding. Dodge-muscle, Ram- trucks,
Chrysler- 300. You will see more Alpha products showing up in Auto shows.

On the one hand, it's just semantic b.s. and who really cares. On the other hand, it's been a decade and even aftermarket companies still call the brand Dodge.

Just curious about your opinions. Being completely honest, it does bug me a bit.

No. It ****** me off that Dodge decided to re-name my truck RAM. WHen it already was a Dodge Ram

Well like someone said above, my 4th gen says dodge right above the radio...and it will always be a dodge cummins to me. I dont think i will ever stop callong them dodges especially when the drivetrain from 3rd gen dodge rams is identical to the early 4th gen "ram trucks"

Also, if 4th gens were not dodges, wouldnt they be 1st gen rams?
