So I went to update to 18.14, and I got an error saying update not compatible with vehicle ???

By the looks of the PN it is a 2018 Ram radio. I’m only assuming but it is probably one of the first models that they tested with when changing over to Panasonic

I honestly don't know any of the history on it. It does have the ram themes already in it, and it did bolt right in without any modifications to the mounting tabs.

If you have the AlfaOBD, have to tried checking the current Cabin EQ Curve settings and seeing what the options are?

Yes, I have both Android and Windows AlfaOBD. There are a ton of options (many for DS) and I wasn't thinking and tried to set a change before I saw what was current. So I went to the first Factory log that everyone suggested I copy to Google Drive and found that my RA1 regular cab was set to this?????????

Cabin Equalization Curve Number: Crew Cab Premium (Alpine 12-ch) (DS).

Any suggestions of what to try? Or just try all the DS ones?

Did you get your radio from "mygig sales" or "best deals ken"? I'm in the middle of fighting with them to take my radio back because of it crashing. It crashed again twice this morning on the way to work. The first time I got in the truck and it wouldnt even turn on Then it crashed when i hit the volume up button and it crashed halfway to work. I really don't know what is wrong with this radio. It's almost like when it's cold (been in the 30s in the morning) it seems to crash or now not even turn on until the truck cab is warm)

They are refusing to send me a new one without giving them mine first. I really don't feel driving around without half the brains of my truck is ok. I'm not real comfortable using my truck without a radio for 2 weeks.

They also argue that the first radio they sent me (with the charger part number but ram housing) was a ram part number. It's pretty clear now that they re house and screw with the radios since they all have different seals on them with the company name and no official Mopar seal on it.

I feel like reporting them since they advertise as "pre owned" and not refurbished

I can officially say stay the hell away from those ebay sellers (they are both the same place )

Deals Ken is who I got mine from, I'm thinking I should just send it back because it won't even take a software update.

I don’t know what the options are but if you have a crew without alpine. Find the setting with out the alpine 12ch.

You can always try my option then work your way through the options cause you never know which one will work lol

I have a regular cab 6 speakers, never had an Alpine. Upgraded from no Uconnect 4 times so far:
1.) RA1 Uconnect, perfect sound
2.) RA2 perfect sound
3.) UAS no rear speakers until it updated to 18.20 / 21.9.0 but had no microphone
4.) UAQ that's perfect except no rear speakers. 17.43.44 / 19.9.0 / 17.35

I believe he has a Regular cab. Not sure if he had the factory Alpine or stock 3.0 radio. (I doubt it should be set to the 12 speaker Alpine w/amp)

Try and find the option in Alfa for a Reg cab 6 speaker. Or try the quad cab 6 speaker.

eBay for the UAS / UAQ radios seems like a crap shoot. The only saving grace is the buyer guarantee and Paypal. Good luck, your experience with this has been terrible since the beginning if I remember correctly.

That's what I would have thought about that setting but the line I put in with the Alpine 12 channel was a cut and paste of the factory BCM settings from the first Google Drive upload before I changed anything.

I'll go set it to the Quad cab 6 speaker and let it sleep for tonight.

It’s almost to the bottom of the options for cabin equalization curve number.

Try the standard cab 6 speaker base DS. You can always try the quad and crew if that option doesn’t work. Just stay with the options that say DS

The standard cab premium alpine 8 ch is another good option to try.

It’s possible that with the 3.0 and 5.0 they don’t exactly read the BCM for that exact option having a upgraded radio it pulls everything from the BCM. That’s my guess on why it was fine until you got the upgraded radio
