So just to be clear, as it got confusing as the posts went on :)... this only applies to aftermarket lights - not to OEM Quads, correct?

OEM Quads running Turns as DRLs don't need any of Zee's settings?

You are correst-ish the settings I used are for projector style headlight that came equipped from the factory, that being said my drls are white because I had my headlights gutted and the projector replaced with fxr projectors and the turn signal board replaced with a switch back board.

Actually you are right. When I turned on the fogs after changing alpha, the fogs came on for half a second and went off until I changed it back.

Yeah I tired forever to get hids or leds to work in my fog light when i got my truck, worked with a local company VLEDs and tried pretty much everything they had at the time to get my lights to work. I ended up giving up until I came across diode dynamics canbus canceler, and even that wont allow me to put hids in the fog lights but I was able to put leds. The headlight circuit seems to have a higher tolerance because I am able to run hids with the canbus canceler

Did you buy Alpha and make changes or are you done with it as is?

If there is an option to set fogs to leds and it would be helpful to you or other people I can pull the canbus canceler out and set the fogs to leds and see what happens.

It's located here if you want to try. Other people have vaguely confirmed it works and I'm trying to find time to install my LED fogs but if you have time, it would be nice to confirm and plus you wouldn't need the extra cancellers on each light if successful.

LED is under this section..

I've been running my morimoto led fogs like that for weeks with zero issues or error messages

That's awesome I'll probably go ahead and pull the canceler, even less draw on the circuit

Mine had two of these blue resistors on each foglight, I set the lights to LED, unplugged those and plugged my trucks oem plug directly to the Morimoto XB foglights and haven’t had any errors.

One thing though, I never tried it without the resistors before I set it to LED so keep that in mind.

Looks like I stumbled into this thread at just the right time.

I'm trying to put LEDs into my 2015 Express and having a wonderful time chasing down a solution. I'd rather not use a pile of resistors for Low/High/Fog lights.

Does anyone know if the setting for "left/right low beam voltage regulation" is something that can be changed using this software?

It seems there is a TSB from FCA starting the early 2015s should be changed to 13.8 volts and this is supposed to solve these issues. I'm wondering if the LED/Halogen settings posted above would essentially be the same thing.

I have SEALIGHT 9006 LED bulbs ($20 on Amazon- cheaper than the halogens!) in my Fogs without resistors/PWM modules or the like. They mount and connect just like the 9006 halogen bulb. Actually, if you can see my avatar pic (its kinda small), you may notice the driver side fog light is kind of white: the pic was taken with the parking/fog lights active. I set the LED Front Fog Lamps Present to "YES" in AlfaOBD and they're working fine. I also have my DRLs set to the Fog Light position (also activated and configured in AlfaOBD), and I have no issues with them operating as DRLs. I haven't noted any flicker (hard telling for sure, as my gauge of this is the reflection of the lights off the back of a car in front of me, and as DRL, that means in daylight) in either DRL or "normal" modes of operation.

I also have SEALIGHT H11 Low Beam and SEALIGHT 9005/HB3 High Beam bulbs in my Quad Lights without resistors with the "LED Low/High Beam Lamps Present" settings being changed to "YES". They work without any "bulb out" errors. However, I DO have a slight flicker, though no 'cut-outs' of the low beams (haven't used the highs much) and the flicker is VERY minor. These bulbs fit very well in the headlight bucket without modifying or deleting the dust caps (even the high beam side!). I did order some Headlight Experts PWM modules to hopefully eliminate the flicker. How well the PWM modules will fit with the drivers for these bulbs all crammed into the headlight bucket remains to be seen; temps have been too low here for me to do the PWM module install just yet. As far as output, I have to say they're pretty decent so far; I haven't felt as though the Halogens were a better option. But for less than the cost of ONE PAIR of Diode Dynamics or Headlight Revolution bulbs, my entire front end is LED, and I'm pleased.

My question is - where to find LED bulbs that dont have CANbus adapters and/or resistors wired inline?

Since Alfa seems to be able to make them unnecessary, I feel like we would be better off with pure LED "bulbs" without all the extra stuff that can go wrong because of the extra parts that everyone includes. I know some are external to it all so just dont plug them in, but some arent, and even still I think some are hybrid (i.e. external CAN adapter, internal resistor)

So I swapped fogs this morning, left off the canbus adapter and set Alpha to LED fog enable and it works!

No flickering so far and came on perfectly.

One question I have is everyone recommends the LED emitters be set to 9 and 3 o'clock however, when I look at the reflector shape of the fogs, the shiny reflective surface goes from 12 to 6 o'clock and the sides at 9 and 3 are a matte finish.

Shouldn't the LED emitters be at the 12 and 6 o'clock position to maximize reflectivity?

As right now the way everyone recommends, most of the light is hitting the less reflective surface.

Doesn't this waste light?

I know in the highbeam for instance, the reflector is horizontal so it makes sense to orient the bulb at 9 and 3 but the fog reflector is verticle.

I set mine to 12 and 6 in the fogs and the beam pattern is factory. I think the halogens are also 12 and 6

One thing I noticed is the LEDs are fine with the truck running however, with the ignition in accessory pr run position without the engine running, the LED fogs are turning on and off by themselves.

It's as if the vehicle thinks the bulbs are burnt and sending a signal.

It doesn't look like PWM is disabled without engine running.

As long as they stay on while driving, I really don't care but I figured PWM would be disabled entirely.
