The last number is incorrect 68148258AC, can you please list the correct number?

About 1 hour and there is nothing hard about at all, it's just swapping 2 cables and the base. Sorry for the typo 68148258AD

Thank you!

So one cable goes from the antenna half way to the radio and the other cable goes from the radio half way to the antenna? The two connect in the middle? These are correct for my Regular Cab Truck? Also this runs down the drivers "a" pillar or the passenger one?

One cable runs from the new antenna base along the roof header and down the right (passenger) A pillar and stops in a blue double pin connector just above the dash. The other cable runs inside the dash from the blue connector in the A pillar termination to the back of UAS / UAQ radio.

I can't tell you if this is correct for your 2017 because of the year difference and not knowing what radio you have or what you're trying to accomplish with the swap. It worked for my 2018 RC with a UAQ radio and I did it by searching ebay and TrueCar for a 2018 RC with a 8.4 NAV radio and a shark fin antenna. I gave Benny @AllMoparParts.com that trucks VIN and he did all the work and nailed it!

Your are welcome! It was @kad that turned me on to searching out ebay for a perfectly equipped truck for a donor vin to get the right parts every time.

That's what I have been doing for the last two years. I have a vin from a new 2018 Ram Sport Regular Cab that I have been using. Did my complete interior with this vin guess I forgot to get that one extra cable.

Sorry to bring up at old thread, but this is about the only one I found in search. From what I've seen by Googling the sharkfin there are two cables coming from it. One purple, one mustard. I have a '17 CC with 8.4 w/ NAV. I am not subscribed to Uconnect Access.

I have an add-on portable XM radio that I installed. I thought I'd be smart and just unplug the antenna from the back of the 8.4 and plug it in to my portable. Save running a new cable. Works like a charm, however, now my NAV doesn't work. I discovered then (and reading through this topic) that the mustard plug is for XM and GPS. I assumed the purple plug was the GPS wire.

So, am I going to have to run the wire for a new XM antenna or does a vendor make a fakra plug splitter? Will the signal be strong enough if I split it? Do I keep the sharkfin or go a different route?

Not trying to threadjack. It is somewhat related. haha.

Thanks!

I could be wrong but I think she shark fin allows for satellite communication like onstar. I could do without that anyways . If I could get an asnswe on swapping for the flat antenna cover
