I use it on my Hustler X-One to help the grass not stick.

From what I hear it is an excellence rust inhibitor....though it is not permanent and has to be reapplied.

Hey Guys,

Wondering if anybody here had experience with this product.

I have a little rust damage on my car. Could I use this and spray it on the rust to help keep it at bay for a while until it's repaired?

Thanks,
Nate
If it’s a localized area you’d be better off spraying a rust reformer on the rusted spots

Fluid Film works great, does exactly what it claims. It's laos one of the best lubricants you'll find for any of your tooling or outdoor stuff.

Corrosion Free is one step better in regards to rust proofing your truck.

Read h395's thread, fluid film is a great option, just make sure to use the gallons and not the spray cans if you are in a real snow state. You might even want to apply it while your truck is on a poly tarp, capture some that drops off. I don't know what the "best" product is, FF has to be up there, but I know if you do nothing salt will eat your truck.

Been using Fluid Film for years, outstanding product.

I was looking for another option that would be more efficient but still effective.....found it.

Use boiled linseed oil " Lowes/Home d " and thin it with mineral spirits in a garden sprayer and start spraying.
Do it outside, it's messy.

This came from our local State department that spreads salt and pushes snow.
It will last the entire winter, try it.

must read fluid film thread

If you do this right, you will keep the cancer away. But it isn't a small thing, you need to do it right.

I watch Project Farm on YouTube, he does auto product comparisons. Here is a video where he compares various undercoating products, including Fluid Film. He tests these products pretty hard. Fluid Film came out pretty good in the test. Here is the link.
Cheers

I know this thread is sorta old....

but man.. i just used this fluid film stuff for the first time.

I live in Texas, but drive on the beach quite a lot. Along with off roading in other places which can chip the factory paint on stuff. So chips in paint + salt = possible nightmare. lol.

Good god does this stuff stink. especially if you accidentally spray some on a hot exhaust. But man does it give the undercarriage a shiny appearance.

I also sent off to East Texas this weekend, and was playing in some pretty nasty clay mud/puddle pits. I got home to see the entire side of the truck, and all wheels/wheel wells coated in clay. but to my surprise, just under the wheel well you can see some of the frame.. Which was spotless, the muddy clay water didnt stick, just slid right off.
