Is this for real ? Something popped up on my face box about this so I filled out the truck info and mine. I was contacted by a lawyer the following day and was told I need to file sooner than later. Should I move forward don’t want to end up peeing a lawyer tons of money. Where should I go from hear?
From my research and understanding you dont need a lawyer. The FCA should contact you or send a recall to you if your truck qualifies under this settlement. But I could be wrong. Again this is from my own research and understanding.

Remember when they stopped EcoDiesel production for a while in 2016 - 2017 (IIRC)? They got caught.

Yep, I believe that’s why. There was quite a few law firm ads that would show up on my Facebook news feed where I found out about that. Kinda sad tho, you’d think VM Motori would be the ones dancing in the hot frying pan over that since that’s the manufacturer of them little EcoDiesels but then again, it’s up to FCA to make sure them motors tickle the ******** just right of the EPA, because they’re putting those motors in their trucks.

I'm keeping my eye on this one. I'll be honest here, if I get the $$ they're proposing, I may just trade mine off on a 2018/19. I can't stand the ED engine...I've regretted buying the thing for pushing a year now.

I heavily considered one when i was shopping for my new truck and I’m kinda glad i didn’t.

Just got off the Phone with FCA and was told all I have to do is wait untill I am contacted by them. If you own the ED you can call the FCA and ask them if your truck is involved and they will tell you yes or no.

+18003349200 but I've called before and was told they did not have any idea what I was talking about. This time I made it clear that I knew what I was talking about and they dont give much info but they give enough.

The proposed settlement offer hasn't been accepted yet nothing has been finalized.

Sure glad i never bought one.... i did take one out for a road test before i bought the truck i have now though.... i did NOT like the ED one bit.
I wouldn`t even care if they had a turbo on it, i still would never buy or own one.

I guarantee you after they "fix it" for you your fuel mileage might drop by a noticeable amount. I know the mileage figures from the earlier models seem to be consistently better from what I've read. Up to $2800 doesn't necessarily mean the full amount either. Could be $500 too. Also I didn't read anywhere in that article about them extending the warranty but I've been known to miss **** before. Unless my state required it under their emissions testing laws or FCA made me do it to keep my warranty intact(of course the full $2800 AND seriously extending the warranty say to 100K on 2016 and newer models)would force me to do it.

Yeah would be nice to get ahold of that cash, just not sure how much of a headache it would be to reinstall things, have the update done to receive the reimbursement and then undo it again.

Nevermind. It’s only for vehicles that were the 2014-2016 year model ecodiesel. So I don’t have to worry about anything, however a couple extra thousand would’ve been nice

I traded my 2014 Ecodiesel for a Hemi in October. Is this deal for the US only, or does it apply to Canada as well? Thanks.

It does have a turbo and they run wonderfully. I absolutely love mine. Added Pedal Commander and it launches like a HEMI truck now with better MPG

So I had the software update for the emissions recall done on my 16 ED. It now runs like ****! It has no power or take off at all and about a 2-3 second delay when you hit the throttle. Also had it fail to go in into reverse and then drive later the same day. I had to mess with it for about 5 minutes both times just to get it to move. Dealer now is not returning my calls and get the runaround when I call to talk to service dept.
Screw FCA can someone recommend a plug and play tuner/programmer that will fix what FCA has f'ed up?

Also your truck may need the shifter knob recall unless they did that while doing the Emissions fix
