So I bought a set of flush mount LED lights to mount in the bumper as I have seen a couple trucks with them installed. Got the lights in hand and figured out the curve of the bumper is going to cause a gap at the bottom of the lights and the bumper.

Have y'all that have installed flush mounts had the same problem, or do they make some that the plate is slightly curved? Figured at worst beat them into submission but I think the bumper will bend first.

lights are similar to these

No issues at all. I am actually going to add 2 more this summer to run off a switch. It's really easy just measure 6 times and cut once. First cut is the hardest lol and make sure you file down the cut edge and paint.

Another thing I did was cut cardboard the shape of your light so you can see how it looks and if it will sit flush.

A jig saw with a metal cutting blade. Drill holes in 4 corners and connect the dots with the saw. Jig saw cut it really smooth no jumping or sparks and very little burrs

Dude! Great idea! I have a jig saw and even have a metal blade.

Uh oh....I may end up doing this.

buy a couple more blades so you always have a new sharp one. Make sure you mask the area VERY well, even use some cardboard in case the saw starts trying to jump and skip. That's why i used a cut-off wheel.

Measure twice, cut once. Ok.... measure like 16 times and cut once.

Make sure your lights are square with the bumper, NOT the ground. This sounds easy but was one of the trickier things in my install.

When you get your holes cut, make sure you paint the exposed metal edges to keep rust from creeping in.

That is exactly what I did to my 2500 a few years back. Easiest way to do it! The most precise was too!

I have the same lights, their harness & rocker switches are pretty decent quality as well.
I used a fizz wheel and finished up with a body saw. I had the bumper and bezels painted body color, and put some dum-dum/butyl tape behind it before I bolted them together.

I only have 2 lights & that’s bright, 4 has to be like looking at the sun.

My Rigid's have a small rubber gasket that helped take a up the little bit of curve in the bumper.
