They are made in a third world country, and I'm sure their cost is very low, and selling them for $1300 they can afford to fix their mistake. They messed up, and are sending new lights. They can afford to do that.

I’d cut them a little slack and say they’re more like 2nd world, since they have things like toilet paper and soap, unlike the Middle East... :/

Keep trying to stay on the sidelines with this but some posts REALLY have me scratching my head. When did pointing out that a product was released too soon, not quite ready for primetime become bashing? Better yet when did doing the right thing become going far above and beyond? I will say if none of the 50 early adopters have to return the lights THAT would be highly unusual for such a big ticket item that still has loads of value. But, that said, I experience the same on a lesser scale ALL the time, missing items, defective items, The better companies, like Amazon, make it right because it is in their best interests to do so. We can call it business karma but in reality it is just good press/ advertisement. Although some here have said they hoped the lights never catch on so that they have an exclusive product on their vehicles, does anyone here truly think that's also what Morimoto or TRS wants? Trust me... they do not share that sentiment. Not at all. They want as much good press, word of mouth and product/ company recognition as possible. A chicken in every pot and XB's on every Ram. Do you really think having a lot of mixed reviews, product issues and time delays goes a long way to that end? Nope! What they are doing now is smart business. Take a little loss up front to foster good will and warm feelings.. make it up on the back end. Smart business and it's how companies get established and grows. If you expect or accept less, you either have too much money on your hands or.... you are not doing your part as a consumer. Are there tons of horrible companies out there? Yes. But honestly there shouldn't be and this idea of acceptance of the sub-par is what allows THEM to thrive, right alongside the good companies. Each of us consumers has a responsibility to his/ herself, as well as the consuming community at large. Morimoto is perfecting an acceptable product (at current price point) to transform it into an exceptional one (at said price point). Actually makes me personally happy. I'm once again likely to purchase, as are likely many others. And I will likely get a better product and go on to "advertise" for the companies by virtue of showing their product. This, after all is just good business... and dare I say in this day and age exemplary... But by no means above and beyond... which even I would concede at the point you were left with the old product, to do with what you will.

So yours are getting replaced due to the aiming issues you had. The 50 of us, to my knowledge, will be getting harnesses. Your case is the exception at this point.

If the hyper flash and aiming issue isn’t the 2 known issues what are. From my understanding that’s everyone’s same issue

Hyper flash and high beams with the headlights off are the two known. Your aiming issue is unique and is why you're getting replacements. The rest of us are getting harnesses to correct the two known.

I'm making an assumption, based on the info I have.....which I provided to Doug. Your case is different.....and I was out of the loop on that one....

Yeah just talking to other guys who got them it all sounded like we all shared the same issues. I know there’s at least 2 other guys out there with the same aiming issues who need to speak up then on their headlights before it’s too late. But either way it still stands you and TRS and Morimoto definitely continue to treat me fantastically and it’s extremely appreciated.

I'm glad I cancelled my order, this is a cluster f***

I'll reorder after all this gets sorted out lol

Exactly why I never buy anything that's brand new to the market. This has gotten insane and we all saw this coming.

This. ^^^^ Their margin is so ungodly high that they're still making a ton of money.

Does make you wonder. I bet its more than enough to break even sending the second set. The toyota led headlights are silly cheap even from the OEM. I wonder if they are using the same lights, they are also bi-led and tiny.

There are a chinesse knock off that uses 4 leds per light. I wish these headlights used 4 per light as well for more lumens. The knock offs only use 1 for high beam they are not bi-led

I’m sure they all cost the same to make. I think they set the price depending on the number of that particular vehicle that’s on the road and the amount of money people are willing to spend on that vehicle in the aftermarket area and the cost of R&D to make the product. I’m sure they have done their research. It’s called capitalism of course they’re going to try to make a ton of money of their products. The cost to develop products is through the roof and costs way more money than they’re asking to a pair of their lights. They have to hire company’s to make molds and tooling to turn a prototype into production and hiring a company to make an assembly line to build the product while paying employees. It’s not as simple as here I built these lights for 300 bucks but I’m going to sell them to you for 1300.

Yeah. Cost millions upon millions of dollars just to make 1 production ram. They set the price of their trucks to make that money back and hopefully be able to line their own pockets at the end of the day
