Hey yall I know this is gonna sound dumb, but to those who have a Ram classic, what do yall do as far as auto insurance What I mean by that is for example I have Geico but there is no option to differentiate between the new gen Ram and the 4th gen. I feel like rates are based on the new style of Ram. Again I apologize if this is a stupid question but I'm just curious.

They know exactly what you have by the VIN number so I wouldn't worry to much about that. I had Geico for exactly one year and then my ole lady got a speeding ticket and the monthly bill went up $106 per month. I switched back to USAA(which I had for the previous 12 years) and the amount went back to what it was before the ticket. It has since renewed again and the amount didn't change. I think Geico pretty much sticks it to anybody that doesn't have a perfect driving record AND perfect credit.

There's so many variables that effect premium cost it's never a one size fits all. The statistics for the specific vehicle comes into play as does where you live, your credit score, etc.

I'm sure to them a 2019 Ram is a 2019 Ram and they don't care about which body style it is..... it's still a brand new truck.

As said before it goes by VIN. This 'issue' was ran into when the 2015 Scat Packs came out for Chargers because some insurance was insuring it as SRT, but some as RT, and IIRC the VIN was an RT so they didnt take as big of a hit, even with an 6.4 engine. I am sure thats been sorted out by now though since theyve been around a while.

It cost the same amount to fix so why wouldn't a classic style cost the same as the new style ?

I have a 2019 Classic. Also have Geico. Just gave them my VIN, they knew exactly what it was.
