2017 ram 1500, quad cab 4x4.

1st issue. Front sway bar links. They seem to be too long for this kit. The link is making my sway bar sits at a angle instead of straight. Normal?

2nd issue. Driveline vibration. I can feel it in my seats, my steering wheel is smooth as a baby butt. So, I know my tires is balanced out right. I did some research on this issue and it seems like RCX did correct this issue with their kit. I may have got sent a old batch lift kit rather then their corrected kit. My angles is horrible in the front and vibration starts at 55 to 75. Seem to go away at 80. I sent a email to RCX about this issue and I hope to hear back. Any one here works for RCX can help me out? Anyone else here have this issue?20190323_192052.jpg 20190323_191957.jpg 20190323_191945.jpg 20190323_192042.jpg

Can't help you out on the driveline issue, but my front sway bar looks like that too. I had a hard time just getting them mounted but they assured me it's normal (of course). I'm hoping Spence at Core 4x4 starts making end links for the front soon!

I disagree being normal. Factory dont have it at a angle. I'm sure it rides better if its leveled. But hopefully I hear from RC soon.

Oh I'm with ya there. I will be swapping them out when I rip apart my front end in a bit.

I eliminated my front sway bar completely so I can't comment on this issue. Although iyer should be parallel to the ground i.e can be at a slight angle. The next position is level.

So, I crawled under the truck some yesterday while I wait to hear back. Here's some more pictures of it. Check out the front differential location and it seem low than the knuckle itself. 20190326_131908.jpg 20190326_131639.jpg 20190326_131736.jpg 20190326_131929.jpg

Rough Country has been known to send the incorrect front diff drop brackets with certain kits causing the pinion angle issue that you have. That angle is definitely way too high and needs to be corrected.

The A-arm and CV shaft angle really surprises me as well. It almost looks like the front end is not lifted enough. What was used for the front end lift? Just their kit? Any chance you've measured your fender heights all around to see how it's sitting front to back?

I have a pro comp 4inch lift and this is my sway bar end link angle. it has to be wrong because its tearing up the bushings, thoughts on other brands that would have the right angle?

My procomp 6” kit has the sway bar sitting perfectly level.

and the cv angles look exactly stock as far as the naked eye can tell.
It’s like they sent you the same links as the 6” kit for your 4” kit?

that's what I thought, there's no way they sent me the right size because its so high up and to the point where it is destroying the bushing. anyone know of another brand that I could use for sway bar links or how bad would it be to take the sway bars off in the front?

These guys make extended links for 4th gen 1500 4wd's that compensate for lift (by being longer..) and use a lower bushing style instead of the ball joint OEM links use which they claim will last longer. I've seen both good and bad reports about them. But they list the length right on the part so you can measure how long yours are, how long you think they should be and order accordingly. https://suspensionmaxx.com/sway-bar-links

Regarding removal of the sway bar, I'm sure you can just remove it and drive without it and probably not die from it.
It bears mentioning that nearly every vehicle sold in the modern era is set up to deliberately understeer upon loss of control, because all of the collision safety systems are concentrated toward forward collisions so (at a given velocity) a collison is more survivable to occupants if they hit it straight on than if they hit it sideways.

In other words the sway bars aren't merely there to help reduce rollover, though they do that as well - they also are intentionally structured to keep the vehicle pointed forward when it loses control on a slippery surface or excessive entry speed to a corner.

One additional function unique to coil sprung solid axle vehicles; since there is very little friction built into the suspension (as in stacked leaf springs) and the body mass pivots at about the same axis the axle pivots (compared to independent suspension where it's off to the side, for a large inequality of moment) - the sway bars provide a centering feature on suspension movement so the vehicle regains composure after striking an irregularity like an expansion joint much more quickly than it would without. This is related to, but not the same thing as simply reducing lean during cornering.

How much that all matters to you is subjective and I'm not trying to talk you into or out of anything; just making sure you have some information to make an informed choice and know what to look for if you take a given course of action.

Gotcha thank you for the information on all of that. I noticed that when I take even the slightest angle up hills or down, it seems like the front end is already flexed out due to those sway bars being too long so I might take them off to see if it improves the drive quality
