they've caught things in my uoa that I didn't post, totally trust them. Plus, for any reason you disagree with something they will retest as long as you mention it right away, tell me that aint the ****! They hold the sample and will retest it. Plus the entire keeping records thing and taking off personal info for you to post thing, they are the best I know of.
Agreed , but must ask for a retest in one week [emoji106]

My FCA lifetime warranty clearly states if the cost of the repair is more than the value of the vehicle, they pay the value of the vehicle and the warranty is ended.

lol wow, so much for lifetime. What did it cost?

I needed just under a quart over 6k miles, yikes. I'm caulking it up to the plowing because I never add ANY in the spring, summer, and fall. She needed a tit of ATF too...

I also had consumption using 5W-20.

On that note, I might as well just use up the last of my PUP before i do anything. I bought enough oil for three changes a year ago this February.

PUP and RP filter stop overthinking this.

You will not find a better combo for the money.

Second choice for me is QSUD and an RP

If you like spending more Redline will be better than AMSOIL we have debated this many times. AMSOIL is not giving you better protection than PUP with any of their line. They are charging you more and if you are not even going to push the interval it has no benefits to you and is harder to get.

Other decent filters are Fram Ultra and they are easy to get at Walmart. I use them when I don’t have an RP on hand and need to get a filter local.

I run all my vehicles 8-10k each OCI also maintain my family’s vehicles and do the same. Vehicles I maintain and this method has worked well for.

Just wanted to show the sample size of what I have been using. I ALWAYS use synthetic filters. I ALWAYS use synthetic oil try to use PUP but if I don’t have any or don’t plan ahead I will do QSUD, Valvoline High Mileage Syn, or Pennzoil Platinum.

We can have -40°F to 100°F here so it takes a beating.

I am going to try out this Havoline Syn and see how that goes but for the most part I used the wear numbers to determine choices of what I wanted to try. Amsoil isn’t going to be better and won’t help you sleep at night. It will lighten your wallet though.

Chick-FIL-et is pro gun, pro military, allows concealed carry in restraunts. Core conservative baptist beliefs. Actually total opposite of what was posted earlier, is why far left hates chick-fil-et

You are correct. The are closed on Sundays even in the Atlanta Falcons stadium oddly enough.

I know you guys were so wtong, chick fil la takes **** because they are conservative. And they make great food. Anyhow, politics aside, it is one good sandwhich, I wish I had one in my town.

I liked their stuff despite their extreme right stance until I got sick from the one in Apple Valley, MN. My daughter and I both had the chicken chunks and they must have been handled poorly because both hated our lives for a bit after that. Neither of us will eat there based on that experience.

I can’t believe only on the HD’s are the ones that have greasable front driveline.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

They won’t get greased anyway and that will cause failure. A sealed unit can get you 100k or more without issue most times so they do this because for one a light duty rig doesn’t need to be greased and the common grocery getter won’t even know or care to check them. When you buy a 2500 you are planning to work it or at least pretend to so I think the need to be tougher is there. The owner base is different on the HDs.

Ok so first leg completed 100 miles and really bad traffic took 6 hrs to get here. High was 181 deg 75 outside. Averaged 160,'s. After 3 hrs of stop and go I got moving and it dropped back down nicely as you can see. Very impressed with the tbv delete.

And you have that trailer...?

That is kick ass!

So you got 20,000 pounds behind you you’re in bad traffic and you’re getting lower times than Daily Driving driving empty!

Just curious what data you have that shows amsoil not protecting? Just Curious as that is not what I've known all my life been using Amsoil all my life. Father was using it in the 70's

To be fair I think his words were “its not giving you better protection than PUP”

I hate to repeat myself, but my 6.4 sounded like a thrashing machine on Amsoil AZF 0W40. By far, the noisiest it has ever been. And I am not an Amsoil hater, I was a retailer for them, and it is still in my wife's car.

He's not saying amsoil isn't a great oil , we all know it is , it's just more expensive and more difficult to obtain ...

I am not saying it won’t protect I am saying it won’t protect better. The formula has become less and less premium over the years proven by many UOA’s and VOA’s. They make good stuff but I wouldn’t call it great stuff and when you are paying premium prices IMO it should be better than it has become. Why would someone pay $30+ a gallon and have to order when they can pay $22.50 for 5 qts and get it either over the counter, in store pickup to delivered for free when you are prime or get more than $35. I know Amsoil started doing over $100 shipping free but still. Their formula is more tailored to longer interval than it is to a factory interval especially with SS. So in Corn’s case he won’t be going over 8000 miles so why pay more for no gain?

PUP has shown the best wear numbers I have seen even better than Red Line so that is why I personally use it. I am not against any company or any solution I just simply don’t see why if you don’t have the tick and won’t ever push the interval why would you want to pay more?

I used to use Amsoil only a few years ago. I then came here and found I was mistaken so now been doing the PUP and RP for a few years.

I am still convinced the filter is more important than the oil anyway as long as synthetic is used I truly believe it will put protect for longer no matter the brand or weight. I would run supertech synthetic over any other conventional oil even PYB just because it is superior at cold flow.
