How much room do you have between the stock U.C.A. and the reservoir hose? Does it rub at all?

I’ve got a pair of these coilovers in the garage I’m wondering if new U.C.A. will provide more or less room from the hose.
I took a look and there’s a good couple of inches. Just running the stock control arm.

The shop said they were surprised to see my uca’s weren’t hollow channel but has reinforcements in them.

As long as the arm can move up and down without pulling on the hose you’ll be fine. I have the much bulky Zone ucas and the hose on my Kings do touch the ucas but the rub is cosmetic, the edge of the ucas is rounded so there is no cutting/chaffing/scuffing at all. I put a piece of fuel hose in between to check for any rubbing marks and I have none. Not counting those hoses are super strong you could rub your tires on them for a big while before you’ll scuff them and get to the inner portion that is the one holding up pressure.

I’ll be going in on Friday to get the rears installed. They are the 883-26-026 (adjustable ones) and I figured those would be ideal so I don’t have to worry about them being too stiff being originally for a 2500.

I found a local distributor who called in and happened to have the front coilovers in stock. I know several sellers on eBay also have the front coilovers in stock ready to ship. The rears are a little bit more difficult to find but they are coming from 4wheelparts who also just happened to have the adjustable ones in stock. Just one set and local haha.

@T JAZ can you measure from the ground to the top of your wheel well arch. And also measure the amount of threads from the top thread to the collar. Even better if you could snap a picture with the tape measure on it

Finally got my rears on. Just a quick note, the kit that procomp includes for the brake lines seems to be a little too taught when fully extended in the rear. I’ll be getting some braided lines made soon and replaced. Only an issue in full extension.

As for the fox rears, I went with the 883-26-026 shocks, which are the more expensive adjustable compression which are designated by Fox to be only for 2013 and older Ram HD trucks. Well I can assure you they are an exact fit. They also are the exact size needed fully extended. The reason I went with them was because fox doesn’t market any 2.5” shock for the rear for a 6” lifted ram 1500. Why put 2000$ shocks on the front and only go with 300$ rears?

Nice, how does it ride?
After getting the coilovers the truck was a bit shaky probably due to the fact that the fronts and rears were different dtiffnesses. After swapping it’s a super smooth ride. When down a few dirt roads with decent sized holes and didn’t feel a thing.
