Previous Truck(sure miss that Cummins):

It was originally on my last truck. I had it sandblasted and powder coated before putting it on this truck. I had to modify the rear mounting plates since ram beds are a little shorter than the other brands.
Then you’ve got the wrong garage. My garage has an 8’ tall door so it fits through the door.
I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas.

Went across the scales at 23,160 loaded up on the way to Glamis. It's all aluminum so it's under 16K loaded. I'm not gonna lie, the 6.4 is no Cummins, but for a small block gas motor it is a hoss. I set the cruise on 65 and let her eat. My problem is the gooseneck puts so much weight on the hitch I am over my axle and tire ratings, so going dually this time. Ratings aside, with 35 pounds in my airbags, the chassis handles that trailer like nobody's business. Totally relaxed, no drama at all.How does that 6.4 handle a camper like that? What is the weight?
Diesel brothers just did a dually upgrade, but let's be honest, you need to get back into a diesel at some point. That thing is huge, lol. I had a truck drivers liscense, that thing would be a ***** to back up.
It's actually built like an LQ horse trailer, so it is much lower profile than a normal fifth wheel toyhauler. But for sure going back to a Cummins.Yup,
He is working his 6.4 more than most of us. Wind resistance alone on that thing must be huge.

Dose the truck hang in 4th gear most of the time? What speed and RPM?Went across the scales at 23,160 loaded up on the way to Glamis. It's all aluminum so it's under 16K loaded. I also had consumption using 5W-20.
It loves 4th gear in Tow/Haul. It will pull in 5th. Sometimes it hangs in 4th and i'll take it out of Tow/Haul, and it will grab 5th. It also tends to bog when I roll into a hill, so I will manually drop it a cog, sometimes two, and it will stay in the torque curve much better. Otherwise, it will tend to bog, and then make a harsh downshift. I'm sure the new 6.4s with the 8 spd must be worlds better in this regard.Dose the truck hang in 4th gear most of the time?
