After getting the coilovers the truck was a bit shaky probably due to the fact that the fronts and rears were different dtiffnesses. After swapping it’s a super smooth ride. When down a few dirt roads with decent sized holes and didn’t feel a thing.

Let's see pics of the entire truck with the new front and rear lift

I do know it’s possible to adjust height wise I just have yet to have any time to do so.

So question with fox shocks pn BDS88302073....

What’s the highest setting they can achieve and still perform well?

Say I’m currently running a ProComp 6” lift kit with bilstein 5100s at .7”...........roughly how much higher could I set these in comparison? To my current setup.

My main goals are:
1) more ride height
2) better performance
3)get rid of the current top hat spacer most 6” lifts come with

I guess 2&3 kinda go together though.

Not sure about ride height yet. I’ll be playing with the heights soon and will post back here. I do know they offer better performance, and yes they do get rid of the spacer up front. I was surprised about how big that spacer actually is when they pulled it out to put the coilovers on.

If thats with the 5” rear coils then the fox coilover must have given you about 7-1/2” lift in front, looks great

I have not yet had the 5” coil kit installed yet. This is still with the stock springs and rear spacer.

I will get that done in a few weeks. This next week will be replacing at least the end links, sway bar, and panhard bar. I sent replacement compression struts and the hellwig sway bar to core 4x4 and they are coating them to match their house color.

One thing I’m pondering still is if it’s worth while to get a new tire and wheel setup. I was looking at the AEV rims which actually have a positive offset and are 18x8.5. Advertised to “perfectly fit a 35x12.5 tire underneath a 6” lifted ram”.

My current setup is 17x9 with 35” tires but I’m having to run a 2” spacer to clear the knuckle up front. Shame on me for not checking before buying rims.

Your lift actually says 18” is smallest and requires 5” backspace or less, the AEV is 5.23 so you still might need a small spacer

Oh damn. Wouldn’t want that mistake twice. I’ll have to make some phone calls and see. Know anyway around that?

another small spacer to push the wheel out

What size tire are you going to put on them, 18x8.5 is a narrow wheel and could be too narrow for the tire recommendations

Perhaps you need to take a trip to your local 4WP and test fit a couple of combos to find the best offset that could fit your particular application?

I’d be going with a 35x12.5 again. Which is what aev recommends.

Never thought about that. I’ll have to give it a try.

Ive done the same thing before but at Discount tires. They've been always more than happy to help me choose a combo. usually they've seen it all so they'll know more or less what could fit quickly, but sometimes you want to be certain if a tire/wheel combination can fit to take a decision. 4wp typically has more offroad wheels/tires available as they cater to the modded trucks/Jeeps/SUV enthusiast etc so their live selection could be bigger, but any tire shop should be able to accomodate your needs if you're reasonable in your test fit requests :).

Have fun.

You need both rear coils, you need the bump stop brackets and the panhard relocation bracket....aside from not using the sway bar ends, a brake line drop bracket and upper control arm bracket that is the complete rear 5” kit, for $400 I would go for that deal
You had mentioned those exact parts. Any idea on where to get those product numbers? My first shop is unfortunately booked for months now and I won’t be around when they can fit me in so I am considering ordering it myself.

Right right but I mean individual parts, since I don’t need brackets and other stuff.

You'll have to click on the instructions and look at the parts list and call BDS for a quote on what you need.

So although the guy who did the coilover install did a great job, he ended up doing the alignment with a tape measure so I think one side was slightly off. I went to get some exhaust work done and noticed there is wearing between the passenger cv axle and the bottom of the shock. I’m hopping a a proper realignment will fix this (although there’s already a work groove so there’s no longer contact).

I lowered my truck down to the 3” rear coils last weekend, I have the 5” used BDS coils, used bumpstops with new hardware and new track bar bracket with hardware I could sell. If your interested in buying used (7k miles) I can start a for sale thread. Just wanted to offer it to you first but I’m looking for $400 shipped
