So I've found out this switch will work on a 2011 ram with the 44-44 t case. That said it does set off abs and TCS codes after 5-10 minutes of use. Update: he thinks it may be the huge puddle he hit, he had this happen to him Before I'll keep you updated on this for the older trucks.

Hey all, just wanted to let everyone know I won't be available all next week, I will be in the mountains with no phone service. If there are any questions i will answer everyone once I get back to civilization.
Thanks
Brandon

Enjoy yourself;
I received my kit yesterday, if I get a chance I 'll install it this weekend or more likely next week.

So I got my switch this past weekend as well. With the weather pretty nice on Saturday, I set out installing it. It didnt take me real long. Really, only 30 min or so, at that was just because I was trying to be as careful as I could be in removing the factory stuff. The install video was great, along with the printed instructions included in the package. Made sense even for me, which was no easy feat.

I mounted the switch itself in my lower glove box. I dont keep anything in there anyways, so its a nice hiding spot thats still easy enough for me to get to. I didnt test it out at all on Saturday, other than to notice the lights lighting up on the switch. After work today though, I had to take the truck out for a couple of errands, so I had the opportunity to try it quickly.

The clutch pack certainly grabs hard! I was quite surprised really. My JK didnt even grab or bind this much on dry pavement. At full steering lock, the truck doesnt even want to move. Reverse was just as bad/good. The switch itself works great. No delay in locking or unlocking. Only tested it in 4 lock...didnt even think of trying it in 4 auto, although Id expect the same outcome. Hopefully our last snowfall came early this morning, so it'll be quite awhile before it gets tested under real conditions.

Simply put, however.....Im extremely happy with it, and it was well worth the price IMO to have a fully locked axle. (Something Ram should've done in the beginning, but whatever)

Thanks again Brandon!

That was my reaction as well. All the posts and reading on the 44-44 suggests the clutches are weak and can't stay locked up under the power of a Hemi. Not true at all, those clutches are fine for this application it's FCAs programming that sucks.

Also if you switch it on in 4Auto it locks the front wheels just like 4Lock/Low.

Glad you're happy with it, I can't wait to try mine in the snow either! Try it on some dirt or gravel in 4Low. It'll put a smile on your face

I finally installed mine and just got done "testing" it in 4-low. Playing around in the gravel and the field feels a lot more like the 44-45 equipped rental I was in a while back. Super pleased with the results.

Installed my switch today.
The install was quite easy and rapid.
This modification made a considerable difference in the front axle behavior,
it doesn't lock mine up solid but it does seem a huge magnitude better then factory it will be interesting to see how it behaves in various situations this summer and then next winter will be the real test.

Brandon, my hats off to you and your innovative thinking and quality workmanship.

For all who has gotten one of Brandon's 44-44TC harness has there been any problems using it for any length of time. I will be Plowing with my 2013 ram Big Horn 1500. I did plow with my 2004 Ram 1500 with floor shifter and the truck was a beast plowing. I will only be doing small driveways nothing big.
I did not do my Homework on the 44-44TC and did not know it was clutch driven to lock, needing the back wheels to spin for the fronts to lock. Stupid that Chrysler made the 4x4 44-44TC case.

I should have my harness this Friday!!!!!!!!!

What length of time have you used yours?

thanks

He has a note included in the instructions not to exceed 10 minutes as the relay may fail

Ok thanks As I have not received mine yet I know he did mentioned that to me in a PM but was wondering if some have tested longer. Brandon did say he has tested much longer than the 10-15 minutes.

I'll have to keep that in mind.

Are you plowing driveways? If so I’d just turn it on for the driveway and then off while going to the next one....

No there was no traffic at all it was about 10 am clear sailing. I bought my 2013 3 weeks ago and the drive side was getting moisture in it so I got the newer ones and replaced them Monday Morning about an hour to do both sides. He also gave me the rear brake lights which were only 4 months on the truck.

And I sold the rear lights Sunday to someone who is shipping them to Brazil as Dodge truck parts are hard to get there and expensive there.
