my 15 ram 2500 6.4 about 2 months ago just all the sudden got weak. ive swapped out my k&n filters, a new EGR, the pipe from the EGR had alot of build up two of the holes in the end were almost stopped up so i cleaned it all out, cleaned throttle body. It ran good on the way home that night, felt strong but the next morning back to the same. havent done plugs yet, but will shortly. Nothing has been done to it other than a borla xr-1 and resonator took off at about 20k miles it has 66k now. Im not getting a smell to make me think the cats... Half throttle and full it is still very strong but starting of and re accelerating after slowing down makes it feel like a 4 cyl in that heavy a$$ truck. Any ideas what to check next?

This is a long shot. Most of my replies are long shots.....

My 14 Wrangler and 13 Mustatang have an adaptive gas petal. The more aggressively you drive the greater the value of Petal input. Think of it as a built in Petal Commander. When I get in the Wrangler, I turn the key on, then hold the gas petal to the floor for a few seconds, let up and repeat. The computer gets a throttle position reading, even tho the vehicle is off, and thinks you're driving aggressively. Viola! Better throttle response.

Now wether your big ol truck does the same, I doubt. But maybe....

If you're getting good gas mileage, that means your truck is probably running fine. It the gas Petal trick doesn't work, get a Petal Commander. That'll fulfill your need need for speed.

More things to try...(more long shots)

1. Be careful with that "key on, mash the gas pedal" trick. 3 mashes in <10 seconds and you reset your oil life indicator.

2. Run some Lucas fuel system treatment. Might be partially clogged injector(s).

3. Put a PC in it and be done with it.

You might be right. Maybe use it first. But, at $8. for a bottle (21 gal max), Lucas is the winner. Lucas is $24. a gallon at Wally-World and that treats 400 gallons. Thats roughly 20 applications at 21 gal tank.

I've used it for almost 2 yrs on this truck and for many years on everything I own. I use it every other tank of gas. I've never had a fuel delivery problem. I'm not trying to sell it, just relate my experience with it.

Good luck whatever you do.

After i put on the EGR and the TB back on i pressed the pedal a few times before i started it and like i said it ran great on the way home then poor the next morning. I read to reset the TB after unplugging it that way, ill try the injector cleaner to see if that helps any.
