UConnect Software Update Received--What's in it?

(I've seen some 19 Delphi 6834xxxx UAx radios pop up for sale but can't confirm what they're from... Supposedly Ram?)

v21.9 is the latest 'official' update for the 2018 UAQ's per TSB 08-016-19 REV C

(Even though we know new units from the parts counter shipped with v22.5)

I'm totally dumb when it comes to this kind of stuff. Please bear with me. I've seen some people on here say they've downloaded something that has fixed the problem? Or is there an update the dealership has to install? I'm so confused and frustrated.

There is an update that has been released for 2018 Ram's (and 2019 Ram Classics) that are equipped with the 8.4" Uconnect system (no navigation).

Some of us have gone to the dealer and had them download and install the update.
Others have downloaded it from a link on this forum to a USB thumb drive and installed it themselves.

Does your 2018 have a non-navigation equipped 8.4" Uconnect system? If so, I would get your truck to a dealer and have them install the update.

How do I know for sure which radio I have? I know I have uconnect and I don't have navigation, I know I got the crappy update that ruined my stereo last September.

I have a 2017 Ram 2500 6.7 Tradesman that I have added a brand new 4C NAV UAQ into a couple months ago and everything works perfect except like previously stated by someone else on here when I try changing my voice recognition volume or text message volume it reverts itself back to volume level 15. I believe the factory software that it has is 18.33.24 but I'm not sure if I am reading that correctly, maybe someone will comment. I'm still fairly new to the UAQs. My truck came factory with the 5" Ra2 touchscreen. I first installed a RA4 now I have the UAQ.

I just looked at the picture I took of my UAQ before install and the part number is 68331631AJ
Mine ends in AJ instead of AH. Does that mean it's not a Ram radio?

Your UAQ 4c Nav (Ram PN 68331631Ax , AD, AH, AJ, etc) has Application version 22.5 and is the lastest 'shipping' version on a new radio. The tsb only provides an update to v21.9 for UAQ's.

What year/model is your truck? &

Post a picture of your main radio screen and application version from the dealer menu like Austen did.
(Press HOT +COLD + Front Defrost for 6-10 secs)

Anyone update a uas in a retrofitted pre 18 truck yet?friend of mine had a 2017 uas and we couldn't get it to update with a file from the uconnect site.it said software not compatible with this vehicle even though we used the vin from the donor.don't know if the Panasonic radios somehow reads the vehicle make from the bcm for updates or if it was because it was a 300 radio and everything didn't work right.major functions worked but no ram home screen or themes of course because it was pre 18. And though it supported both usbs they where not shown in list when you said source usb.I know ra3 and 4s will update normal no matter which vehicle they are in.

Where did you download that from?

I thought you can get the update from uconnect drive on your home pc and download it onto a thumb drive they say you need a 32gb thumb drive blank to do it

Edit: just checked the official maps update site and I don't see anything at all listed for a 2018 ram. (2017 is latest year, ie Ra4)

Garmin doesn't do the maps for the 13-17 Ram Radios & likely the 18's. See the link above and go the the bottom of the page... The company is called 'HERE'
