This is one of the benefits of the air suspension. I lower my truck to “entry” level and then get out my 2 step stool. I’m 6’2 and it’s still he only way I can get to the center of my roof without lean on my paint.

Good luck.

Thanks for all the input.

I'm going to pick up one of those Werner stands... looks like exactly what I had envisioned.

I use a step foot peg. Bought it for under 20 bucks on Amazon. Says it supports up to 500 lbs. Beats carrying a step ladder around your truck and getting your water hoes tangled up in there. It's also nice because its so small I can leave in the back compartment and pull it out if I need to load up a surfboard or whatever on the roof. I weigh 215 lb but I had a buddy that weighs 350 step on it and it held strong.

:hmm:Idea!!! Go through the sunroof!:happy160:

Only a skinny ninja type might be possible, I tried it and let's just say I was lucky to get my shoulders out and got it clayed. Wound up doing the 4ft ladder for one foot then one foot on the seat while stretching one handed wit the D/A to reach the middle.

I think I pulled something when the ladder tried walking out from under me. :)

I bought mine at either Lowes of Home Depot, I got that 300lb model because the width was wider than my shoe size and the length/height was good. I use it to work around the house too, its handy and provides a safe platform to work/stand on.

That's the version I'm going to go with... for the extra width.

I'm short. I use a lightweight 5' step ladder. There's no way a 1' platform would get me to the middle of the roof.

I use the bed for the roof.

As for the hood, you can use the tire step. Helpful for working on the engine as well.

I'm only 5'8", so I need all the help I can get. lol

I found the Werner AP-30 300# rated larger platform after a search online... picked one up today on my way home from work. In my search this was the best price I found local. The guy gave me a discount on it... ended up being $66. and change out the door.

I told my wife it was an early Father's Day present... and thank you!

I have a 6 foot ladder I pull out. Easy and no problems cleaning roof. Or I climb into the bed and do it.
