Looking at numbers, what was changed on the 2500/3500 model 6.4l compared to the SRT 6.4l?

Other than the basic architecture, it's a whole different engine built for work instead of play, not a de-tuned SRT engine.

Exactly, they are very different. They share barely any parts. The 6.4 in the RAM actually has more in common with the 6.2 in the hellcat then it does with the 6.4 SRT.

Regardless of the differences it does respond very well to similar mods. Heads are essentially updated T356 aluminum Apache units and block is stonger since it's actually a Hellcat block. Lower output mostly comes from reduce compression (10:1), smaller cam, more restrictive intake/exhaust and tuning for truck applications. Headers helped considerably as did a custom high octane tune. A cam would be nice but geometry differences in the BGE motor would require a custom grind. A

Otherwise it's similar to the SRT motor with forged components, piston squirters, oil cooler, etc.
