The production number of Jeep and 1500 14-16 is disclosed by the AEM recall to be approximately 100,000. A wild guestimate of units produced per month would be around 2,800, below is a FCA doucument about failures. Mine has been good so far but if I had read this before purchase I would have passed on the Eco-D. Of note, AEM reflash cause a serious cold engine lack of power, some call it throttle lag, also a significant drop in milage in my personal truck.

Great and thank all 3 of you for your time.
We have cleared the calendar at 3 pm.
So you can soak on them, we will make the following points:
Field Fix
•
--;.=:=! . This CSN serves two purposes.
1: First and foremost to revise the calibration to reduce crankshaft bearing loads during low rpm/high load conditions. These failures increased 61% May-July 2016 as compared to January-March. 2016: The failures increased another 30% August-October, 2016 averaging 215/month. We have been holding to clear the 2017 MY cert through your reruns. We cannot wait any longer with this frequency of failure.
2. The CSN also contains the changes to controls and calibrations to align with the tailpipe emission performance of the 20 I 7 MY application as we have discussed and you have recently been evaluating. This can provide a significant improvement in driving emissions as we have seen in our collective testing.
