The price of the Pedal Commander is set by the manufacture not the individual dealers. Any discount must be approved by the manufacture. If you buy a used PC it will not be covered by the warranty, however you may be able to save some money on it. You can adjust the throttle response with a tuner, however it is not comparable to the response that you can achieve with the PC. You can run both a tuner and the PC at the same time and they do very well together, however I'd make sure you let your tuner know that you also have a PC. Pedal Commanders can be purchased from a couple of vendors here on the forum including Nick and Matt at Moe's Performance.

Great info thanks Pull Ya appreciate it. I’ve heard nothing but great things about that Pedal Commander. I may have to take the leap.

Lots of people have run them for at least a couple of years and never had any problems with them, including myself. There have been a few people that have had problems however they seem to be in the minority. I think they make your truck "more fun to drive".

I got my pedal commander on amazon for around $250. It's listed as for the dodge challenger instead of the Ram 1500, but it is the same model and has given me no issues.

Pedal Commander Throttle Response Controller PC31 Bluetooth for Dodge Challenger 2008 and newer (Fits All Trim Levels; SE, SXT, GT, Rallye, R/T, Shaker, T/A, SRT 392, SRT8, Hellcat, Demon) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07C8ZYCDR/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_acj-CbN94TZK0

I'm on the other side of things - I'm not thrilled with it. I've had it for about a year, and it spent a few months turned off, now it's set to Eco -3 (I think) I didn't care for Sport mode, and for me, Sport+ was uncontrollable. City mode was ok, but not that different than stock. In the end, I still have it installed, but it wasn't worth the price for me.

But then I'm the guy that keeps his truck mostly stock. Appearance items are more my thing. The truck already has more than enough performance for what I need.

I saw those on Amazon for 250 wasn’t sure they would work as it says they’re for a Challenger. That’s interesting.

Wow you posted this I checked it was $250. Now it’s changed to $299. They must be reading these forums. That’s crazy. I’ve been seeing that price for weeks. Just didn’t know it would work or I would’ve ordered it. Oh well, I snoozed and lost. Thanks for the assist.

Anytime, friend. Im always on the lookout for great deals. I found out it was compatible by going to pedal commander's website and confirming which model was right for our trucks. In the past, Ive found that there are a lot of parts out there that you can save money on, just by searching for other vehicles that use the exact same one. Always make note of the return policy though, sometimes theres a slight but significant difference.

Thanks Again. I will be on the lookout myself now that I know. I guess as long as it’s a PC31 it will work.

Careful with those Amazon third party "dealers" . They are not authorized dealers. As mentioned by Pull ya, The manufacturer gives us MAP and the minimum we are allowed to sell for. I always have an active promo code that will give you the lowest allowable price.

PC31 is the one you would need, it is good for 2007-2018 (2019 CLASSIC)

The link I posted wasn't a 3rd party dealer, it was a listing from Pedal Commander.

For me you'd better buy a tuner like I3 or else...you could boost your throttle response, disable MDS and have some canned tunes for about the same price. Plus you can have some custom tunes from HP or Jay Greene if you go LT or cam.
Please PM me more information about this

I have to ask this question. Why do people like this product so much?
It works by "lying" to the ECU about where the throttle position is.
Without PC, 25% pedal tells the computer 25% throttle.
With the pedal commander, 25% throttle can mean 50% throttle.
So yes, the truck seems to accelerate faster at 25% pedal, but you could simply push the pedal 50% and get the same response.
So basically your just changing the "sensitivity" of the throttle pedal.
And I really can't see how it improves gas mileage any more than what you could achieve by driving with a soft foot.

The more I read up on that Pedal Commander I surely want to try one. How bout one of the vendors do a huge group buy on them and knock that price down. $300 just seems a little steep. The 10% military discount knocks off $30 but it’s still like $276 shipped to my door. Maybe I can find a used one for a 4th Gen
Yeah I love mine ! Does make a difference at a stop . Eco mode is very interesting..used it on the thruway , makes you behave yourself!! Lol. I did get mine used. Got it for $200 on eBay ..

I think there is a very small percentage of people that buy the Pedal Commander to increase their gas mileage. I would venture to say that most buy it for the "fun" factor.
Jay
Definitely fun factor for me. Not concerned at all about gas mileage.

I use eco-4 in stop and go traffic, and for longer trips down the freeway. Keeps me from getting in trouble.
Average day-to-day zipping around I stay on city+3.
When I go to car meets I put it on sport+1.
Race day and rainy days it goes to sport+ -1.

All personal preferences. No real difference in fuel economy in eco mode, it just keeps me from playing too much.

I will never talk myself out of buying this damn thing if I keep reading these threads. Everybody that has one seem to enjoy the hell out of it.
