Hi folks,
I need some advice on which is the easiest to apply, (wipe on and wipe off would be the best lol) looks good and doesn't require a lot of buffing.

I know this generally requires effort but I had a Right Total Shoulder Replacement, 6 months ago and Repair to my left Rotator Cuff and a tendon or 2 reattached last month. I don't have any strength in either shoulder and if I over do it I'll be in a lot of pain for days after it.

Does anyone have any suggestions... it's a 2017 Ram 1500 crew cab with Red Pearl paint, I'd like to try and keep it looking good for as long as possible as I don't think I'll be able to afford another new truck as I was forced into taking early retirement because of medical reasons. [emoji57]

Thank you...

I saw an ad for some fancy stuff called factor 4 around 20 dollars. Bunch of fancy explanations.

After watching this video. I bought the 7 dollar option.

If I had time and money. I would ceramic coat, but I'm too cheap and lazy.

Just got the Griots system myself and like it a lot. Using their G001 DA with their 5" orbital conversion kit and their line of correcting cream, perfecting cream and finishing sealant. The DA makes it super easy to apply, it is very low dust and super easy to buff off. Plenty of vids on youtube for their products. Honestly, the hardest part would be using a clay bar to prep.

I've also used Hydrosilex. It's as simple as mist on and wipe off but you need to have a good clean surface to work with from the start. Lasts a few weeks between coats.

I’ve been looking in the “detailing” section of the forums lately and based on info there I’ve been looking into Wash Wax All.

Aero Cosmetics Wet or Waterless Car Wash Wax 128 oz. Aircraft Quality Wash Wax for your Car RV & Boat. Guaranteed Best Waterless Wash on the Market https://www.amazon.com/dp/B003WM9RZW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_gTfaDb8BQ7MZ3

A little more $$$ but gets a LOT of high reviews.

Collinite 845 is applied in direct sun, super thinly, and comes off easily.

With your physical limitations, I would recommend that you look into a ceramic coating. I realize that it is the most expensive option however the maintenance is minimal and the protection will last for a few years. There are other spray type waxes, sealants and coatings that you can use such as McGuire's, Mothers and Turtle Wax that are easy to apply however their true longevity is yet to be determined. Please remember the the protection you use is only as good as the preparation you do, which includes wash, clay bar and correcting the finish before you install the wax, sealant or coating, whichever you chose.

DON'T LAUGH AT ME, BUT....... I know Turtle Wax products suck balls pretty bad, but the new Turtle Wax Seal and Shine is some pretty good stuff, on the cheap. About $7 for a bottle at Walmart and it works, really well, all things considered. Otherwise, Meguires NXT 2.0 is about as simple as it gets.

For your situation I would recommend Duragloss Aquawax. It's technically a spray sealant and it lasts a few months. It's good enough to work with and cheap enough that you can use it with every wash. Similar spray sealants from Meguairs are also a good option and can be found at Wal-Mart.

Unfortunately there is no spray on wipe off polish that I know of, you'll have to use a polisher if you want to truly polish your truck.

The new Turtle Wax "Seal and Shine" has been getting some great reviews on the detailer sites. It looks really promising however the longevity hasn't been determined. I really like the price point.

if it matters, I saw a review on it where the guy did a three way comparison to two other products. He used an iron remover, and a high-Ph detergent and both times, the other products seemed to come off and the water stopped beading...but the TW stuff held up to it.

Again, not promoting the stuff...I'm a hard core Meguires fan....But TW is starting to impress.

I like Griot's Garage Spray-On Wax. Like others have said, a longer-lasting product will be your friend, but for 2-3 weeks of beading and protection, the GG SOW works well and gives a nice shine.

I too have shoulder issues (no surgery yet though!) so I can wholeheartedly recommend a dual-action random orbital buffer (DAROB). I have the Griot's Garage 6" model, and I waxed my RAM in about 20 minutes with it. I applied Meguiar's Ultimate Liquid Wax, which is good for about 6 months for me. Buffed off easy, but you can also use a buffing pad for the DAROB.

Good luck!

We also have a sponsor on the site, Adams.
Might give them a try, they have a lot of great waxes.

If you live in or near a large city, just have a mobile detail company or a detail shop do it. I have mine done twice a year with polymer sealant. What ever you do, don't let a car wash place do it.
I use to love waxing my vehicles... not so much as I've gotten older.

I’ve been using Meguiar Fast Finish, seems to last a pretty long time. It last most of a NY winter, still beading. Reapplies about 2 months ago and still beading now. Not the highest shine but very good. I did top it with Meguiar Ultimate Wax and that brought up a nice shine.

This picture was just taken 530am on a cloudy morning. Has not been washed or waxed in close to 2 months.

Before my ceramic coat, all I used was Jax Wax. Check them out online. Amazing products.
