Anyone that is running ready lift upper control arms, anyone getting popping noises out of them? I installed when I did the eibach springs and struts, since that time I have been getting a single metal on metal pop when turning slow randomly but more times then not or over bumps not going to fast. It's not a typical clunk over bumps but an audible metal on metal pop of sorts. I dont feel the pop only hear it. I thought it might be the tight springs or heavy preload of the eibach springs on the upper perch but today stock springs went back in eibach adjusted to the bottom notch and a zone 6 inch lift installed and the noise although the short time I drove was still there it wasnt quit as often. I cant seem to get it to do it on a stand still to where I can pin point the noise but from all my years of wrenching I'm guessing it is coming from those. Any ideas? Is it common with the ready lift uppers or what gives? Feel like I have wasted money and the noise is absolutely driving me crazy!

Is it 4x4? No way of knowing without hearing the pop but in my experience pops when turning is usually an indicator of a damaged/ dislocated CV joint.

It is 4x4 but dont appear to have any play or other issues that typically persist with them being bad

Does it only happen on one side? Sounds like sway bar end link from your description. You can loosen the UCA bolts and drive your truck 10-20 feet back and forth then retorque the bolts. Also check your body mounts they can cause that sound too

Put your OEM back on, you don’t even need those UCA’s now that your lifted. When you have a “geometry corrected suspension lift” and add extended length UCA’s, it pushes the top of the tire outward, therefore your alignment adjusts the bottom of the tire outward to match. This increases your turning radius and makes the front stick out even more than normal.

Its definitely not sway links. Long story short a missing part from zone leaves me with no sway links up front till Monday lol as for the control arms my stock ones were shot maybe replacements in the semi near future but the alignment was done with them on. The noise happened both before and after the lift ever since the eibach lift went on and the uppers. I cant for the life of me find it and after swapping lifts I know it was definitely not an install issue

Your trucks a 2018 and your oem UCA’s we’re shot?

It’s possible the ball joints are shot on the ready lifts from having those struts preloaded so high.

Was thinking the same possibly. No movement in the up and down with a bar or or jacked up and supported. That's what is getting me. It's just 1 single metal on metal pop here and there. It is less now with the zone installed but still there. I'm scratching my head noises like these were my gravy when I ran my shops and worked on cars this one has got me

Well I got new control arms coming because the angle correction of the ready lifts actually has them at the exact opposite angle they were before lol however you were correct the noise ended up being fixed by loosening and tightening the body mounts! Either way I can sell the ready lift arms now and put in the "heavy duty" mevotech ttx control arms to make those angles kosher. Hopefully nick can find me some answers from icon with the rear shocks and I can be riding quiet again :beatdeadhorse5:

Nope new arms and same noise. Needed arms anyway because the angle correction was to much.
