Anyone have a line on the passive entry antenna 56046958AA.. Apparently there's a national back order until November

There are a few on ebay (not mine, just pointing out)

Somewhere an FCA bean counter is asking "WTF, why are all these antennae going bad?"

And maybe this has been answered but I didn't wanna look through 80 pages, do you need to do the hood latch and wiring or do you just ground a pin

You can just ground the proper terminal *IF you don’t mind the fact the the truck can be remote started while the hood is open*.

yeah good call I mean it's only like $35, cheap for the peace of mind really.

There are a few good pics of the harness in the thread that will tell you whether you are already wired back to the BCM... I was, so just bolted in the new latch and was good to go (with proper keys programming, alfa, hub, etc, that is :).)

EDIT - sorry it's actually in the Remote Start thread... Go here https://www.ramforum.com/posts/2021655/

I can’t get the passive entry working, any suggestions? The keyless go works perfect and I was able to program the new keys but no passive entry on any of the 4 doors. I double checked my settings and set and replaced the hub. Also having trouble getting the hub to pick up the wheel sensors even after the roll test.

Any of the 4 doors? You only should have installed 2 passive entry door handles. 1 driver. 1 passenger. Not to sound like an ass but you did purchase the passive entry door handles and replace them. Also make sure the signal and return wires are wired correctly.

I bought 4 passive entry handles. To enable all four doors and yes it’s wired correctly.

You can run the locate fob with Alfa to make sure your antennas are picking up your key signal outside of you truck. Could be a problem with the antennas. Until you rule the antennas out it’s kind of hard to speculate

Also how did you wire the passive entry handles? The wiring diagram only shows pin locations for 2 passive entry handles. This could be your problem also

Yes already did that and it is picking up my key. If by chance I broke a wire on the drivers side would the passenger side still work? They are independent correct or if one wire is down does it kill the entire system?

No. They all run independently from each other. You can have either wired and they should work without a problem. I only have my drivers door attached now.

I wired it per the instructions and split them at the Bpost to run to the back doors. That’s how I was told to do it months ago.

Okay then eliminated that thought. There has to be something else I’m missing.

I know on mine the ignition worked without a problem but for my door handle I had to disconnect the battery and let it sit for a few then hooked it back up and every was working properly

Also clear any codes in Alfa if there is any before unhooking the battery.
