QSUD 5W30 is LSPI compliant so while it has more moly it has less of everything else.

PUP 5w30 has less moly but to my knowledge it has not changed the formula to be LSPI compliant (yet), the PP looks like it has changed though.

This QSUD analysis is from late 2017 but you get the idea.

We need to see the QSUD 5w50, I bet the add pack looks much different. With a cSt of 17.0 at 100c it’s something I want to run. Most likely sheer down into the 15’s; if the moly is at a respectable level I think this 5w50 is a player.
I believe QSUD is Gen2 now, new formula!

QSUD is on sale this week at Canadian tire. On for $29 regular $54 for 5L jug.

3 jugs is 15L which will cover 2 changes. Under $60 with filter is a win for me if it's as good as it sounds.

Still another 2 months away from next OCI.

Man, I'm away for a few weeks and all of a sudden this thread is deep in QSUD...I love it! My Reb rolled over 50K miles yesterday and beginning its third round of QSUD 5W-30...all is well. On my last UOA, Blackstone said I could go 11.5k miles on the OCI, but I'm sticking to 10K (easier math!). My engine, which never ticked, is smooth and quiet...it did quite well on the trip between Texas and Colorado during the July 4th holiday; I even managed 19.5 mpg at one point on the return leg.

TXCOMT

The formula which we care about has got seriously better since the 2013 year. We should have a list of most improved oils, since we tend to not keep up with current info. QSUD would be high on the list imo. Better on almost ever line current versus 2013, tbn, moly, zinc, noack, etc.

Spark plug change

A bit long but he does a good job with pointing out the few struggles you should expect to run into. Also a few pointers.

He also posted a link to the swivel socket extension he used. This is the same one that Corey suggested last year.

Thanks Corey[emoji847]. Got mine as soon as you mentioned it. Plug change happening this weekend. I’ll do my best at looking at the top of the piston on the front cylinders but I’m not gonna go out and buy camera.

Note that he DID NOT use anti-seize on the thread or dielectric grease on the coil boots. Or at least he did not show using it.

That is totally your call.

Yep, that swivel tool is a must. It’s definitely a Must Have tool for Hemi plugs.

Ha you're welcome [emoji16]

Thats Boosted Motorsports video and he's in southern California where there is no salt in the winter and only a moderate temperature change in the winter. IMO antiseize on spark plugs is a must if you live in the rust belt. Just a very light dab on the bottom of the threads. I have to do my plugs in the fall and I put antiseize on at 29k so I'll post some pics when I do them.
