We do a lot of traveling in our TT. The fiberglass front gets a lot of bugs and road grime which is tuff to get off. Any recommendations on a good wax to use on the front to make bug removal easier? Thanks

I use a "bug sponge" and Turtle wax Bug & Tar remover. Let it soak for a bit then instead of using a microfiber towel to wipe it off, I use the bug sponge to get the stubborn ones then wipe it off.

This is on a black Mustang that afterwards does not show any swirls or anything.

pledge furniture polish orits knock off equivalent (i buy the knockoff at walmart). kid you not. we use it on motorbikes all the time as its the same stuff as the expensive plexus. its good on plastic or metal and makes removing bugs easier. put it on before. use it to remove stubborn bugs as well. just don't use the lemon as it attracts flies. i use the orange scent or non scent version instead. way cheaper than any of these fancy name brands.

To remove the splattered guts, I've always used 50-50 Hydrogen peroxind and water. Does a great job on all surfaces. I even use it on my motorcycle too.

To treat, I use Original Bike Spirits. I started using this when the price of Plexus skyrocketed

There are times where I'll use WD40 for grime removal. Then follow up with your fav wax/polish. I use Groits...

Make sure you get all that oily crap off before you try to wax it--or the wax won't stick.

Don't use a wax, use either a coating or a sealant. As far as sealants go I recommend Duragloss 501 or 105.

IMHO Collinite is sort of a half-breed wax/sealant. I think it's classified as a wax but it acts like a sealant longevity wise. Collinite was my go to before I coated the truck.

I ordered a bottle of the bug blocker and waterless wash, if it gets delivered this week I'll apply it before I move my son back to Texas Tech on 08/16 and report back. It's a 1400 mile round trip from Houston. If it doesn’t get delivered in time my next trip is in October.

Some good ideas, might have learned something, but I use ICE. Spray it on, wipe off with microfiber cloth. Easiest wax job I’ve been involved with. Try it might be a good suggestion as well.
