Just got a new 2500 4x4 CC TD, yesterday while looking at the truck and test drove then crawled under, all over it occurred to me wow this stock truck is tall.. But I thought ah it’s fine surely it’s not over 6’8” tall so it will fit in the parking garage at work. ( Big Green building down town Dallas).

I was so excited to get into a HD from my Rebel with air suspension I didn’t actually measure the height till today. Got in the bed found the highest spot on the roof the center raised rail that’s stamped into the metal. Laid a 4” level across and had my son n law measure.. DOA! 6’ 8 3/4” just a tiny bit to tall... Well so much for covered parking at work, looks like surface lot from now on ):

You just need to get a new job with better parking.

I know the voices in my head aren’t real, but man, do they ever come up with some great ideas

hmmm. I measured mine more or less eyeballing and it looks to be about 6'6". Mine is a 2018 2500 6.4 Off-Road. I heard the Off-Road sit a little higher than other 2500's.

Just throw some sandbags in the back to level the rake out and it’ll fit. Also I bet you can just be careful and avoid the low parts.

Same truck and I thought the same thing but didn’t want to risk damaging my new truck. So I pulled out the 4’ level parked in flat level concrete and took measurements. I’m 1/2 “ too tall not willing to drop air pressure or lower the truck so will have to surface lot park.

There are pluses and negatives, can think about a lift, bigger, wider tires. But I’m subject to TX crazy weather ( hail)

Should have opted for the mega cab...then you could have added a wider turning radius and sticking further out of your parking spot.

Well I cut a piece of pvc pipe 1/2” longer than height of my truck. Then walked my route to 9th floor. Turns out 6’ 8” is the Lowest point but that spot is not in my path so I’m good to go it’s closer to 7’ 1” in reality.

Even though you know it will fit, the first time you try it I bet you'll duck your head a little. LOL
Jay

Hahaha I did stick my head out the window and watch as I went under the beams.

I’ve done this many times before lmao until I see another ram already in there and figure I’m good to go if he got in.

It’s gonna screw me up one day if the ram I spot has air suspension

WTF is wrong with people? With all the available spots, was that the only place he could think of parking? He has to be almost 5' into aisleway.
That why it's hard to have nice things [emoji3525]
