Is there any cleaner I can add to fuel and/or oil to help prevent carbon build up?

I've always been a fan of Mystery Marvel. You can put it in your fuel and engine oil. Seafoam is another but I never liked how much it smoked after treatment. I know it's just it cleaning but I grew up with "smoking car is bad" lol just a stigma I have

Ive been using HotShots Secret Diesel Extreme Products. Stiction Elinimator Oil Treatment, EDT at every fill up and Diesel Extreme Fuel System Cleaner. Fuel System and Stiction Eliminator are initial treatments, and them maintenance doses afterwards. The EDT is Everyday Diesel Treatment added to the fuel tank at every fill up.
I swear by this product. Its made a big difference in drivability and increase my fuel economy 7 to 10 percent

I realize this thread is a couple months old now, but I just recently found a diesel cleaner that is supposed to deal with carbon removal from a diesel engine. It is Opti-lube Single Clean. My truck threw a code for the turbo and my mechanic asked me if it built boost and if the exhaust brake worked, when I answered yes to both questions he said it was probably a flake of carbon momentarily caused a vane in the turbo to stick but was quickly blown free. He shut the CE light off and it hasn't come back on and he advised a treatment with the Single Clean. This is one of those situations where I won't know how well it works I suppose, cause I am sure not going to tear the engine down to inspect for carbon buildup. LOL

HSS Diesel Extreme - I feel (after doing a few months of research) has a very strong detergent package!

Give it a look - as well as Schaeffers Carbon Treat but it's almost impossible to find a local jobber!
