Anyone notice wind noise at interstate speeds? My 18 has significant wind noise at interstate speeds. Even worse on a windy day.

Also the mirrors,I popped mine off and put weather stripping around and it helped a lot.
Would you mind providing a little more detail on this? What noise were you hearing? What weather stripping did you use and do you have any pics of the install/finished product?

TIA!

I too, am having a VERY annoying wind noise coming from my 2016 Big Horn drivers side window... somewhere, hard to tell where exactly.

I've replace the inner seal already, as mine seemed pretty 'crushed' from a lot of door use. The door was very hard to close after replacement (like slamming it hard!)... and it didn't solve my problem. I even put a piece of 3/8" weatherstripping in the upper window channel, thinking maybe the window wasn't going all the way up... nope.

Any further thoughts here? Anyone else have this issue? I'm not talking about a mirror 'whistle noise' (I've had that too).. but a noticeable wind noise, like an air leak. Mostly at highway speeds. I'll keep searching here, someone else has to have had this same problem.

Thnx.

YUP, every RAM I have rode in has some noise. And BTW, not limited to RAM. Wife's 2005 and 2010 F150's had that annoying noise, coming in through the mirror area. IMHO

Yes my 2018 with only 3700 miles has annoying wind noise at highway speeds , can’t figure out why or where it comes from. Going to dealer for first oil change next week and will ask them to check it out . But expect to hear “ it’s normal “

I know there is a whole thread for this, but Redline 5W-30 decreases my wind noise by half... :big_banana_Dance:

Yes, please update with whatever findings they report. The only other thing I can think of... is that my drivers door sits a tad 'low' when viewed from the outside, looking at the upper right corner of the door. Perhaps it's dropped a bit from daily use (opening/closing, etc)... and that's affected the way it seals. On the contrary, I've replaced the inner seal... and that'll didn't do anything...

Ugh.

Had the first oil change today and talked to the service writer about wind noise , she had one of the techs check all the weather seals, he found a small tear above rear passenger door and will order a complete replacement seal for that door under warranty. Will update again after seals are replaced and see if that helps eliminate some of the wind noise. Very happy with this service department. Schicker in Washington, Mo.

My 18 bighorn sounds like the window is cracked at highway speeds. It has been to the dealer 6 times for the issue. I have had new weather stripping put in, new window seals, doors realigned, chrysler even did a "star campaign" which means they ask the engineers what the next fix should be, and they don't have a clue. it is the most irritating thing to listen to driving down the road. It is almost to loud to even hold a conversation with the passenger. Ram customer service is the worst! They tried to fix it 6 times because there is a problem, now they tell me its normal because the next obvious repair( new doors, dealer recommended) will be to expensive. Between the wind noise, and the ****** uconnect radios horrible sound quality and bluetooth connection, I dont enjoy driving my truck.

If you find anything out please let me know, i am very interested.

Myself, I hear a high pitched wind noise myself, was one of the first things I heard when I first drove my truck. Quite annoying... but if I reach out and manually fold the driver's side, side view mirror in then the noise goes away. I'm thinking I might try some tape to see if it really goes away or if just folding the mirror changed the airflow in a different way. If the tape works, then I'll likely put a bit of weather-stripping over the mirror joint.

I took the mirrors off and put weather stripping around where mirror attaches to door,This helped a lot, probably take 5-10 minutes each mirror.I believe personally while driving on freeway the mirror flexes a little enough for a little air to get in there and create a little whistle.

I recently traded my 2014 Ram in for a 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn and as I was driving at approx 40 mph to 60 mph I noticed a whistling sound coming from my drivers side side mirror area. My 2020 Ram has adjustable mirrors that rotate from horizontal to vertical position for trailer towing. What I found is that when the mirror is down in the horizontal position the whistle is there but when I rotate it to the vertical position the whistle goes away so that let me know it was an air flow issue. After further trouble shooting I found that when the mirror is down there is a space between the mirror and the mirror support arm and when the air flows through the space it whistle. I confirmed this by placing a piece of electrical tape over the area and the whistle stopped. Hope this helps all of you that are going crazy with this whistle as I was.
