Unfortunately, I have no idea what the hours were or when this happened. :)

It may go back to normal in a day or two or a couple of key cycles. You can try disconnecting the battery maybe that will change it back. Or take it to the dealer under warranty. They should be able to pull the exact numbers from the pcm

I believe there is a factory settings in the radio settings that might be called "illuminated approach"...that may be what you are looking for.

Sent from my HTC U11 using Tapatalk

Illuminated approach only turn on the lights on key fob unlock, once the delay expires, opening door does not turn on any exterior lights except mirrors white ground lights, but if you would be for example on the side of the road in dark, exterior lights don't help for vehicle's visibilty and safety when you walking around it... I would have to always unlock with key fob everytime I'm approaching... that's why I was hoping for the function, I believe F150 does it

I just got my Alfaobd set up. Was able to change DRL's to the signals, but they are only orange and not working on white with the switchbacks. I also can not see the option to specify led bulbs for signals, license plate lights, etc. in the "Central Gateway Module MY2006-12 Non-Powernet". Is this not available for the '09 to '12?
I messaged Alexey and apparently it's not possible to set the lights to leds in the MY2010. I wish I could have found that info before, as that was the main purpose of buying Alfaobd...

Not sure if this an AlphaOBD issue, but I just noticed my Idle, Driving, and Total Engine Hours are way out of whack. The only thing I've done in the AlphaOBD is activate Power Folding Tow Mirrors and Cargo Bed Lights. Any ideas what could have caused the numbers to change? How do I fix?

Just curious, Was the truck running when you took the pic?

Tried the search function but could not find.

Does anyone know if writing to BCM with AlfaOBD will lock out programmers like DiabloSport?
Maybe overthinking since the i2 only writes to PCM but want to make sure.

Thanks

From what I understand, you do not "marry" Alfa to the vehicle.

In my use of it, I've never encountered a scenario like this.

You will still be able to apply tunes via whatever programmer. I'd imagine if any settings overlap between the two, the last flash from either will overwrite what was on there.

Had an experience a couple years ago with a tech trying to program a spare keyfob.... locked the i2 & had to contact DiabloSport.
The tech never was able to program keyfob......sent me to another tech add another local shop.....no success there either.

Bought a Smartbox ......pulled pin code & programmed keyfob myself.
Did not take any chances & put stock tune to unmarry i2 1st though.
Might do the same for AlfaOBD.

Need AlpfaOBD for led light upgrades in a 2014 Jeep Cherokee & Ram.

Got 2 make up my mind for the Android version or the PC version.
Think I will put on the PC that has HPtuners VCM editor & scanner.

That's the route I would go to be safe myself. Restore the stock tune, make whatever changes in alpha, then reinstall the tune. I never had any issues with my Trinity and alpha when I used them simultaneously.

I replaced my stock rear taillights with two LED taillight units because my stock ones were cracked and leaked water inside. the two together look good and were cheaper then one OEM taillight. The new units came with an included resister and the seller said they would work on my 2014. They do but I keep getting Parking Light out error message every time I hit the brake.

I bought the OBDLink MX+ unit and thought I would be able to program the LED lights in the BCM... but I now find that I need the AlphaOBD software to get at that level of programming.

My questions are:

1. I have my iphone hooked to the OBDLinkMX+, but I see the APlha software only works with android or windows PC... WHICH ONE TO GET? I do have a android Samsung tablet and a PC laptop so I can go wither way. Is there an advantage to going with one over the other?

2. After looking thru this thread I am confused as to all of the programming details of just setting the lights from bulb to LED. Is there an easier way to accompllish this re-programming, or should I just pay my $50 and try to figure it out?

3. Is there a resource where I can ask specific questions about the MX+/Alpha stuff, or can I just rely on asking questions here on the forum?

thanks

I personally have both and like android over windows version.

You could buy resistors but they will cost you more than the software that you can do a lot more with. If you plan on changing your tire size programming new key fobs. Etc. apt of us went to regular fob to push to start and proximity entry we could not have done that without Alfa.

3. Is there a resource where I can ask specific questions about the MX+/Alpha stuff, or can I just rely on asking questions here on the forum?

Asking it here is your best bet. A lot on us have worked out kinks and different things that work and certain order you have to do stuff in. A lot of the first post is very spot on and you can find a lot of stuff. If you still can’t find the answer just post in this thread and someone will help you out.

thanks

Alfa is pretty damn easy once you get into it. Everything you need is post 1 of this thread. I would go with the Samsung as almost everyone here uses android and only a few windows users so you would have more resources if you need help.

I got a premium cluster yesterday and I've tried about 6 times now to get the mileage to change and it just won't take. I do get to see a cool Continental tire splash screen when it tries though. The only thing I can come up with is that i'm not using a MX+ adapter I went with the cheap one on amazon and haven't had any trouble changing stuff before.

Are you using the current version of alphaobd? When you go to change anything on the cluster it will ask if you have the 3.5 or 7 inch screen

it says it was updated sept 2nd. I go through all the steps that guy did in his youtube video. When it says completed and let your vehicle sleep i can see on the cluster where it still says the original mileage. Ive let it sleep for 5 mins and up to 3 hours and when i come back as soon as i open the door i can see it didnt change.

What year truck and cluster? I had problems changing hours on my 2013. It was hit or miss weather it would take or not.
