I've just installed this bypass in my 2018, 2500 today & now my tire pressure is 55psi all around. A true miracle, thank you!

They build them by order if I remember correctly.

See link on the OP to place an order with DeereGuy/ Mike D. (the other Mike). Not sure what his current backlog is like.

I saw this question asked further back in the thread, but did not see an answer.
Is this harness required, and will it work, on a 2019 RAM 1500 Classic, Big Horn, 5.7?

Thank you.
I thought that was the case, but better safe than sorry.

Yeah in 2018 FCA decided to make it harder for everyone to access all their vehicles settings by adding a security measure to the OBD2 port so only authorized personnel could change truck info/settings.

All he needs is your truck info, make, model & year and he will make the correct security bypass to get you rolling.

So I don’t feel like dropping the coin on alfaOBD, an OBDlink and the security harness for my 2019 classic, what combination of high and low beam leds with decoders/anti flicker adapters have been working for anyone.

You'll probably end up spending less in the long run going the alfaOBD route. It offers a ton of other features. I have to say I'm very happy going this route. In my previous truck I went the resistor/decoder route and it was much much easier and cleaner just simply changing a setting in the computer.

I haven't seen this question yet after searching this thread. Can you just go to your dealer and get the code for the 2018 or newer trucks? Is it just one code or are there different codes for different things? Basically, do I really need this harness or can I get the code for free?

After posting this I found the topic that answers it. Basically the dealer won't give you the code, am I right? I guess some of the things you can do could void your warranty mabye?

The 4 digit pin is only for the rf hub. It won't do you any good having it if you don't have a way to communicate with the truck. The bypass harness doesn’t get you the pin. FCA added a security module in 2018 blocking access to any of the truck's computer's and modules as a anti hacking feature. The bypass harness does exactly what it says and bypasses the module. Even dealer's can't access certain things with approval. This harness allows access through the obd2 port to access the truck's computer's allowing changes. The only thing you could do is brick your truck to the point where a reset by a dealer couldn't be done. And depending on the dealer may not "warranty" a reset if you do mess something up that backtracking with alphaobd couldn't fix. Depending on the dealers they may give you the pin for free of charge, or they may charge or say they are not allowed, which is a lie. If they want more than $15 there is a app called Chrysler pin puller that can get it for $15.

No doubt, was getting that feeling. Just worried about messing something up and potentially voiding warranty

Thanks, I sent in today and got the code with no problems. Guess I need to buy the harness now.

Is 2019 RAM 3500 a classic or new?

Will this bypass work?

It’s a 5th gen. I make a bypass that will work on the 5th gens and I’ve sold several of them. Proceed with caution using tools like alfaobd because I’m not sure how much has actually been tested on the 5th gens yet.
