Question...I am putting a new proportioning valve on my 2001 Ram 1500....getting it on isn't the issue, how does one bleed this puppy?

My question is, the proportioning valve, how to bleed that, or...are you saying I will need to bleed the whole system again after installing the proportioning valve?To bleed the complete brake system, we use a front/rear split instead of a diagonal sequence.
Start with the wheel farthest away from the master cylinder which is the right rear.
Next, move to the left rear and then to the right front and then the left front to complete the bleeding procedure.

Yes, bleeding the entire system is required after the proportioning valve has been replaced.
Use the method I described earlier to bleed the system. Make sure you always top off the master cylinder during bleeding so you do not introduce more air into the system.
