Anybody using a quick drain oil plug? If so, which one are you using? I was looking at fumoto, which I've heard good things about.

I've used this one for years in my last 3 vehicles including my Ram. https://ezoildrainvalve.com/index.html EZ-106 is our part# and I get the corresponding "L" shaped nozzle. I started getting this so my kids (then 6 and 8) could start learning how to change oil... throw a little 3/8ths hose on the nipple and super clean. so far I have had this on my wife's avenger since 2012... zero issues, zero leaks and very worth it, whichever brand you go with.

Hook you up a coil and spark plug wire to it and keep that oil warm in the wintertime.Lol
Ha, ha, ha,
When I was a teenager (1951) we would do just that. Except we put the spark plug in the tailpipe. Then for fun or scare the hell out of someone behind, you pull the choke out (choke was a pull rod that closed the carburetor intake butterfly and flood the carburetor), tromp the pedal and flip the switch to power the spark plug. That would shoot a nice flame right out the tailpipe - oh what fun.

You bring back memories :D

Ez drain on both my 18 Laramie and my wife’s CRV. Works great so far. Nicer finish than the Fumoto IMO. Just did an oil change on my ram last week and it was problem and mess free for once.

Personally, I can't see any great advantage. I mean every six or seven thousand miles you change oil. It takes about 3 seconds to take the bolt off. So you save 2 seconds opening up the drain, but how much longer does it take to drain the oil with the narrower opening?

OH YEAH, old time fun. And if U pushed too much fuel, could blow muffler system/pipes all over. Kinda like the Ole cherry bomb in the mailbox scenario...

GET every dog barking in the neighborhood too !!!!

I use the Fumoto on the truck and the wife's wrangler. My 95 diesel I used a Femco valve system from Geno's garage.

My thought is that its good for you and eacy when doing that dreadful oil change, but what if someone wants to play games with you and your truck and just opens the plug alittle as your driving their goes your motor. Me I,ll stick to the OEM plug whats the deal 2 mins more and a little oil on your hand or just put gloves on.:driver:

Agreed about that, and I just think simple is better. I park my truck on the driveway and I know that that valve is going to leak eventually, even if it's just a few drops. So why complicate things when it's something you only do every 6 months to a year?
