My 2015 Eco Diesel With 78,*** miles, just popped this code, P20EE. Into dealer & will get SCR NOx Cat replaced. 3 days to get part. DEF has been an ongoing issue with this truck since new. Also noticed coolant loss for past several months. Dealer came back with “new water pump & radiator leak”. This boggles my mind. I’ve driven vehicles for 180,*** miles that never needed pump/radiator replacement. I’m questioning the quality of C F products.

Hi Gary,

I sincerely regret to hear of the trouble you are experiencing with your truck. If you are in need of any additional assistance while your truck is in service, we would be more than happy to help. We are just a private message away.

With our Eco's, loss of coolant is almost always leaking in the EGR system. I asked about that recall while at the FCA shop yesterday and they had no clue. Probably not out long enough. It also hasn't shown up in MyMopar for my truck at least.

looked it up on the NHTSA website, they show the EGR recall but not by vin or vehicle. FCA said it would be a few months till the recall was sent out, (my guess is based on parts)

FTL Truck said:
If you own a 2014-19 EcoDiesel, keep a close eye on your coolant temperature and coolant level. If it appears to be heating up irregularly, of it the fluid level is consistently low, contact you dealership. FCA will notify the owners of these vehicles shortly.

If you have any questions or concerns you can call 1-800-853-1403.

We have no information on other EcoDiesel vehicles (like the Jeep Grand Cherokee) and we suggest you call 1-800-853-1403 for information.
(edit: the 800 number is FCA's recall assistance line)

It popped up in my recalls for my VIN today. The VB1 link goes to a "not found" page so far, and says parts are not available yet but the ball has started rolling I guess...

I would have someone check if the EGR valve is the cause and I would take that to the dealer now. Get it replaced now and then have it done again when the part is ready for the recall. FCA should do it for free.

depending on your dealer they may have to give you a loaner until parts can come in.

My 2016 ram has been at the dealership for a month now for the EGR leak. Said it could cause a fire if driven. Fix is not supposed to be ready until end of January.
I have been moving so they gave me a ram from enterprise after a week. Dealership is now saying it's been a month I need to go to one of their cars not a truck. Still need the truck since still moving my stuff. Now I have to pay because ram isn't going to cover the truck even though I am still waiting on parts. This recall is very frustrating! That's after the emissions recall that lost me 10mpg. I have only had the truck since August.

I am very sorry to hear about this! Can you send us a private message with your VIN and dealer name? I would like to look into this for you.

Recall or not, I don't plan on putting myself through the pain and suffering i see so many go through only to have more of the same issues down the road. When mine starts to act up i am cutting the head off the snake and deleting the entire system. One and done, not to return.

I finally got my truck back yesterday. I would delete if it was older and not under warranty.

They had it for a couple months and they didn't even wash it.

Doesn't surprise me. These techs probably hate life since the EcoD's starting having problems. How does it run now? Also, did they put a new style EGR tube on it or did they put an old one on?

They made some more of the old style egr. Those valves are just getting these trucks back on the road temporarily. They said their is not an official permanent fix for the egr. I am sure dealerships are loving the warranty work. Truck seems to run fine.

Still only gets ~20 mpg hwy after that emissions recall. But I bought used and extended my warranty. Which is better than 13 with hemi.
