The ones that stay in the box ... Just never understood what purpose they served on pickups, other than to create 5 or 6 places to leak water into the cab ... Sorry, JMO ...

And what’s the purpose of 4” and 6” spacer lifts with 20” and bigger wheels? Or fender flares with small tires? Etc.

The purpose is that some people enjoy these things and modifying their vehicles with them. Because it’s fun and people do what they like. That’s probably the reason the guy is asking but I don’t know.

Again, JMO ... To each his own ...

Definitely OEM, and not some after market. Yes, to each their own.

There was a set of can lights mentioned here a while back that were wireless and required no drilling. They were expensive if I recall correctly. But they came in several colors, or maybe just white and Amber. They were LED and battery operated.

I installed my own OEM lights. But before I did, I tinted them and ordered LED's. I love the look.

Probably these? First result on google, but I remember seeing that same post and this company name sounds real familiar:

MOPAR OEM for a Ram. I've installed 5 sets on 5 of my Rams, 2 sets of OEM on my 2 Fords and one set on my Chevy . They were just the trucks that didn't come with them over the years so yes I do like them if the truck is tall enough. NONE ever leaked. Ram is by far the easiest being they came with everything including a template and instructions if your unsure or are not confident

Yep that's the ones. $400 is a bit much for me, for what they are. But if one were dead set on adding them, this is the route I would go.

Agreed, pretty pricey but if I wanted to have the lights I would definitely consider these. I just like the option to not drill into anything.

Yeah I can't speak to their performance in person or anything. I've only had cab lights on one truck but they were the old fashion kind, those weren't really overly bright either but had earlier led's in them. I can say that we have several solar powered security lights around our house, and those things are impressively bright, in a real gloomy part of the country. Based off that experience and the price of these, I would expect them to be bright.

If I wanted cab lights I'd give them a shot, luckily I don't want them so I won't have to find out.

Go to amazon and read some of the reviews of the Cab over America . Not as great as they sound and maybe not worth the easy install when you have to cycle through the settings to turn them on each time with a remote. Some got an hour and a half out of a charge depending on lens color as their is a solar panel under the tinted lens. Then it sounds way to easy to get them out of sync so some are flashing while some arent . Then what you have to go through to get them synced again . Sounds like a good idea but I don't feel they are perfected enough yet
