Like many on the forum I was barely luke warm to the new RAM design, but now that I've seen them on the road my 4th gen looks...........well, old. I blame all of you here as well for posting beautiful pics of your 5th gen RAM trucks and I think it's only fair you help with payments if my dealer makes me an offer I can't refuse.

My boss owns a Dodge dealership so he's always got a different 5th gen every few weeks. I have to admit they've grown on me, and I look forward to owning one in the future.
I'm keeping my 4th gen though simply because I want to see how high I can get the odometer before it quits on me. So far it's doing way better than my other vehicles ever have so it looks like I'm happily stuck with the 4th gen body style for a bit! They wouldn't have rebranded it the Classic if it wasn't worth keeping around right?

The biggest thing I don't like on the 5th gen is the Toyota hood emblem, other than that the rest is good looking.

I still dislike the 3rd Gen...but have one now and find it, well, ok.

My favorite is 2nd Gen Dodge, am a big fan of the 4th Gen...but, the 5th Gen really nails the look of all generations of Ram trucks.

You can see 1st Gen, 2nd Gen, 3rd Gen and 4th gen.

When you see the 5th Gen next to a Classic...the 5th Gen looks so much more chiseled and really show the odd beak look of the 4th Gen I never noticed and now can not unsee.

I also do not like the regular hood badges, but the sport hood looks so much better than the 4th Gen hood.

I think the HD looks even better, that stupid filler between the headlights and bumper takes alot away on the 1500...just as it did on the 4th Gen. Very stupid look on both generations fixed by the HeavyDuty bumper.

You can see there is still a good but if the fender drop, it they did it in 2 stages and it is all in the hood now and not a separation between hood and fender.

And I Do not get the Toyota connection other than a Toyota looks like a direct copy of a 3rd Gen Dodge to me

I thought Toyota used to have a hood emblem, but maybe not.
That emblem is the only thing I dislike on the new Ram and it doesn't look to be removable for a simple debadge.

it took me a while to like the front end. I knew I would like the other aspects of the redesign. that space you talk about is one reason I preferred my laramie because at least the headlight panel is more rectangular and doesnt slant up like a cpl. other trim levels. I may get a '20 2500 because I could tow a bigger trailer, but I really like my 1500.

I really like MY 19. Prob only regret I bought (off the lot) a slightly low end Bighorn. BUT they all ride the same, etc.,. not counting in air suspension or 20 " rims. But it rides better than my 85 Cadillac, LMAO, that I owned years ago.....YUP, Red Beast a lil dirty. No sense washing it as big rain Thursday and Friday in Central Texas.....

I like the look of both the new and classic.....I recently had the choice of either....chose the new 1500 because of the flat floor in the back and the extra leg room. Love the hemi.....great power and mileage.

I still prefer the look of the DS, but the features, comfort and convenience of the DT trump it IMO.

Just dropping this here. I think the 5th Gen did exactly what it was supposed to. Bring in new customers at a higher transaction price...with the Classic to keep the rest happy too.

I am a crosshair and 4th Gen fan...but the 5th Gen nailed it
