I have a '17 big horn with black power folding, heated, puddle lamps, turn signals, and auto dimming mirrors. Is there an equivalent in a towing mirror? I have a set of cheap add ons for pulling the camper, but I hate them.

thanks

Trail Ridge makes a plug and play OEM style tow mirrors that will have all the features (power fold, heated, puddle, etc) your current mirrors have with the exception of auto-dimming.

Hi Mike,

If you wanted to go OEM these are what I would recommend
https://parts.allmoparparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-mirror-outside-rearview-68412885ac
https://parts.allmoparparts.com/oem-parts/mopar-mirror-outside-rearview-68412884ac

We would also need to swap out the door modules

As mentioned there are aftermarket options as well. Let me know what you decide and if you have any questions.

I called 2 dealers and those mirrors without auto dimming were $495 for the set from either dealer. Not sure how much more for the auto dimming ones. The problem was they were back-ordered until about mid-November. I didn't ask about the auto-dim but I'd say they are probably back-ordered too. There were 10 dealers that had mine in stock but the closest was about 200 miles away. I still haven't bought them. The Trail Ridge from 1A were $100 cheaper. I have heard good things about them.

Back to the OEM, the dealer told me if you bought the pieces individually it would be about $1000. He said to make sure I got the kit with everything in it ($495). From what I understand there is a support bracket that is about $40 that does not come with the Trail Ridge mirrors. I think they do come with the OEM kit though. If so then the OEM's would only be about $60 more than the aftermarket.

Thanks. I've been looking at Trail Ridge lately, but they seem to be out of stock for my configuration

Well son ordered the Trail Ridge mirrors yesterday from 1A Auto. He should have them in next week. Problem is he has no trailer hitch now (or his is all bent up) cause he got rear-ended Monday morning. He may have to buy an aftermarket hitch out of his pocket and install it next week to tow his camper home or to the next site

He got the mirrors today. His company ordered them through NAPA. He opened the drivers side mirror and said it looks like good quality. Plastic is rigid and they are heavy. Now he needs to order the support brackets and riv-nuts

So checked it out and the prices are better than the dealer but shipping is pretty pricey. Does it calculate individual package shipments or do you combine shipping? He is in Watford City, ND and the parts are about $55 but shipping is about $52. I can get them at the local dealer tomorrow for about $80 (but I am 1500 miles from him but no reason he couldn't get them from a dealer there). Any way shipping might be lower if shipping is combined? He called the dealer out there Wednesday and left a message but hasn't heard back yet. He was going to try to call them again today.

I finally ordered a pair of Trail Ridge mirrors. I'm now looking into the additional brackets and hardware. What is so special about those rivnuts that make them so expensive? I can't see what is special about them that they cannot be purchased through a McMaster-Carr in a pack of 25 for just over $8.00 for M6x1. Unless I'm missing something.

I would agree that the shipping is as much as the order.

You can certainly get a box of them off amazon etc.., I am not sure of the size though so you can either measure the hole on the door or get an assortment which may come in handy for other projects.

Son installed the Trail Ridge mirrors today using the brackets and hardware from AllMoparParts. All went well. Thanks! The only issue he had was on the drivers side mirror the black plug wasn't the right one. Everything was right except one of the molded 'guides' on the plug was slightly off and the plug would not go in. He trimmed the plastic 'guide' and it went right in. Everything on the mirrors work including the power fold.

I will be advertising his stock mirrors after I get pics. They are off a 2018 2500 with puddle lights, turn signals, power fold, and are black textured. The black textured with power fold is hard to find.

@AllMoparParts.com, I'll probably be ordering the brackets and hardware from you this week. Same thing as my son just got from you. Probably order them Tuesday.

If you don't already have a rivnut tool, go grab one from Harbor Freight. I installed this exact same setup on my truck. Love it! But I tried to manage the rivnuts without the tool. Ended up driving to HF with no mirrors and my doors half assembled lol. You'll love the mirrors. See if your dealer will activate the sales code for the towing mirrors. If they do, it'll fix the directional orientation when they are flipped up for towing.

I have a riv nut tool for them that came with my tailgate assist. Used it on my sons truck and worked perfectly but good to know that HF sells them. Didn't know that. But I ordered the mirrors from 1A Auto (trail Ridge). Can't get them from the dealer. Backordered until at least March and from what I have been told you can't get them from the dealer with power fold. Apparently you can if the truck came with them but I was told by a few dealers that the ones they had in stock at the time were not power fold and there were only about 6 sets on shelves in the country. I called 3 of the places and 1 only had 1 mirror, 1 refused to sell them and one had them but weren't power fold. The Trail Ridge are power fold but not sure if the dealer flashing the module would work on the Trail Ridge?
