So after mounting 35" Duratracs on the stock 17X8's I noticed that the 8" width was narrower than what Goodyear designed their 35's for. I also didn't like the way my PW drove with 35's squeezed on the 8" wide stock wheels. So I had them taken off and got a refund.

Going forward, I believe I'll be going with 17 or 18X9's and a 35X12.5 tire as I don't want to do any trimming nor want to change ring/pinion, at least for now. I do want the tire to be snow rated w/ the snow/mountain symbol but am not sure what is out there beside the Duratracs. Looking at Fuel Podium, Method 310/Con6 and Raceline 935G Defender wheels.

What is the general consensus on the ideal offset/back space? Also what is the bolt pattern? Thanks...:favorites13:

I don`t have a Power Wagon but that aside....I went AEV Katla`s because I like their off-set, CJC has a proprietary wheel from Method I think that also has a very similar off-set as the AEV`s (5.75 or 6in back space) Everyone preaches an +18 off-set but the +25/6in bs range seems to be the best of both worlds with either no or very little trimming with 37`s, 35`s should require no trimming...
As for tires, The Kanati Trail Hog (Has snowflake rating) is an almost exact copy of the Goodyear Duratra that is so popular in snowy areas however they have the preferred E-10 ply with 3 PLY SIDEWALLS.
I`m at 7000 ft and the Kanati`s work excellent in snow/slush/ice as well as our forest trails in the summer. Another plus is the pricing on a 35in Kanati is right around $200.00ea, which is a bargain imo.

Second this, if you plan on ever getting 37s definitely stay in the +18mm to +27mm offset range or you'll have to trim your pinch weld pretty significantly just to not rub during everyday driving.

CJC Offroad is offering a Method 17 x 8.5 x 5.75 bs/+25mm. My 35's were crowning and I always had a drifty feeling. I went from stock 17 x 8 to these and with a mere 1/2" difference the truck is solid. These are only available from them. I've got Warn hubs and the rim being hub centric enables them to fit perfectly.

Are you saying now that you have a half inch wider wheel that your truck drives better and the tires no longer wear funny?

I installed KMC XD 18 x 9 with +18 offset wheels and Toyo RT 35x12.50R18s on my 2018 Power Wagon. I love the wider stance it gave the truck. The OEM wheels and tires look way too small and sucked in.

This is exactly the size I'm looking for when I order my wheels. Just not sure if I should go with 325's or 35's. Looks like the metric size has about a half an inch more width depending on the brand, and are within .5" for the measured rim width for a 18X9 wheel. See below for the specs on the Ridge Grapplers:

Thanks for contributing. Still researching it all. I think I got down the wheel size I'm looking for in a 18X9 with 18-20 positive offset. I also know that I want the tire to be as close to flush as possible. Sounds like the 325's arent the best option.

Like you had stated the widths vary by brand.

The 35" Nitto Ridge Grappler 325 65R18 states that it's 13.04" wide. Both Nitto tires and Toyo tires though are under the Toyo Tire Corporation. One would expect that their 36" Toyo Open Country M/T in the narrower 315 70R18 (36 13.00R18) size would be around 0.4" narrower, but it's stated as a less precise 13" width which is darn close to the 13.04" width of the 325 metric width Nitto.

LT315/70R18 Toyo Open Country M/T
127/124Q E BSW
Diameter 35.7"
Width 13"
Rim Range 8-11"
Measured Rim 9.5"
Tread Depth 20.7/32"
Load Range E - 10 ply
Max Load 3860/3525 lbs
Max PSI 65 psi
Max Speed 99 mph
Weight 81 lbs

Handy rough tire size calculator...

Specs look good to me but wish they had that size in the R/T
