I recently replaced the whole power steering system on my 99 1500 and I'm having a problem with it getting pressure. When I have it in the air to bleed the system like recommended it turns smooth. As soon as I put it on the ground it won't turn at all. I've turned the wheel quite a bit and to my knowledge all the air is out. There are no leaks and the fluid level is where it's supposed to be. Any ideas of what to do next to try and get this fixed?

That is strange. I know the pump is new, but I would swear the pump is bad.

I ended up taking the new pump off and taking it back to the store, put the new one on now it works. I don't know if it was the brand or what but it was junk.

Did you buy a new or reman pump? If it's new, where did you get it?

Remanufactured pumps, no matter which brand, are all done in one factory in Mexico and boxed according to the seller.

The quality control is less than stellar anymore.
