9006 Bulb Question

I have a 2014 Ram 1500 with the quad headlights(non-projector). The truck has the vertical fog lights, which use a 9006 bulb. I am changing over headlights and fogs to LED. Is there any reason why I cannot use a 9006 headlight bulb in the fog light housings?

You can the beam will be different is the difference. Like a spot light compared to a flood light.

A 9006 bulb is the same no matter where it is put.
If you notice the 9006 has a glare cap, do your LED's have a glare cap to prevent blinding for oncoming traffic?

Negative, absolutely positive it’s a 9006

yes wasn't remembering when they changed , my 2011 had 9145's, my 2015 had vertical, wasn't sure on 2014's

I think the foglights changed at the same time the grill was redesigned in 2013

oh, I installed the 9006 dual color LED bulbs in my fog lights-

they work almost better than my halogen projector headlights.

headlight bulb sizes is different fog lights, for vertical shape fog lens, fog light bulb size is 9006, for horizontal fog lens, bulb sizes is H10 9145, for headlight bulb sizes guide below:

• for 2011-2012 Ram 1500 w/2 headlamps (Dual high and low beam headlights bulbs): H13 headlight bulb
• for 2011-2012 Ram 1500 w/4 headlamps (High beam bulbs are separate with low beam bulbs):

Ram 1500 high beam headlight bulbs: HB3 9005 headlight bulb

Ram 1500 low beam headlight bulbs: H11 headlight bulb

• for 2013-2021 Ram 1500 headlights bulbs:

High beam headlight bulbs( for the high beam with halogen headlamps): HB3 9005 headlight bulb

• for 2013-2016 Ram 1500 headlights bulbs:

Low beam headlight bulbs (for the vehicle with projector-type headlamps): HIR2 9012 headlight bulb

Im using 9006 morimoto 2stokes in my vertical fogs, when going to led 9005/9006 is the same.
Ddm sent me 9005s and they also fit in the 9006 housing but weren't clockable so i pulled them.
